^^^So it went with my (hopefully annual) Way-back day pilgrimmage to MRG to revisit my skiing birthplace. In fact, I think my tally might be exactly the same.

The snow was 4-8+ of brandy-new dense Champlain Pow on top of, well, not very much. Where it sat on old crust, it was glorious. Where it didn't, it was chewy. But overall, it was....a freakin' blast. Met strawjack at the base, then lost him for the day. Sorry we didn't catch you on the trail, strawjack!

Way fun day! Beat the shit out of my skis and we had a couple funny crashes, but for the most part we were making conservative turns in the untracked stuff. Snakes underneath were active.
