Was planning on a pre-dawn lap up the one trail covered at the Bowl to shred the 1-2" of fresh before it turned mushy....until I looked outside at 5am and it was pouring. Never mind.

Gaspé and Charlevoix are supposed to come through with 15-20cm of snow only. It snowed like 5cm here then iced then rained heavily and is still r@IN. Good to get moisture though, the area needs precip. No stoke here, though.

2 inches of new at the rivah last night. they also made a ton o snow and groomed most of the 44 trails/200 acres open. bleak times is where the rivah shines.

not enough to get me up there tho. the ocean is a bit upset this am. hopefully the late morning wind switch turns the upset into a win.

    till then, cooooofffffffeeeee

Well at least I'm not missing anything being in SoCal. Was afraid I was going to head west and miss the only snowstorm on the east coast this season
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

Stoked to commute by bike this am given the opportunity, even in the rain. I hate missing the chance to wear my rain pants to work!

Any chance for snow on the backside of this?

not content to complete a second consecutive weekend without turns i rolled the dice - expecting that the warmish temps in southern vt would make mt snow a worthwhile, near-springy day.

    craps i lost.

even after i got my edges sharpened yesterday was easily the worst day on skis in several years. had my scariest moment of the day on little john frcrissakes.

was hard to ski on most places without pondering WROD bodily trauma.

yes some days it's better to just stay home.

My neighbors of 25 years are moving, he spent several years in Colo as a young man. He was gonna throw these out and I told him I would take them for decoration seeing as he said they had been down several 14ers.

Those Marquettes might be the solution to TAY in VT. If they ski frost on moss they would certainly make wet grass on mowed trails go in the summer time!

Soupy day at smuggs. Snow last night turned into rain around 3am. Got to the mountain at 7 for an early skin lap, turned around and got some breakfast instead. TC got a text from his buddy saying cream cheese for all. headed hpnto the mountain around ten. Upper third of the mountain got a nice layer of breakable crust over a couple inches of creamy new. The alley skied pretty well once it as broken in. Big gs turns down the lower mountain. Saw my tracks from every run right next to the old ones.

wow talk about making lemonade from lemon ... peels!
impressive and hardcore indeed, but it feels sad that this kind
of start of winter is seeming more and more to be the norm.
weeks back i'd actually worried that MRG would open the same weekend as
    the (originally scheduled) mini.

    i'll be here all week.

Nah. that was last weekend that you missed the only storm of the season

some B roll shots from that day. Wish they all could be this way

Skiing was pretty good today despite the change to rain. But then the rain subsided and we were left with hero cream cheese that the wet snow created. Some crust up top but was easily manageable.

tbatt and twd shredding the cord

    tbatt soft bumping

I had to bail early but tbatt was lapping it out and enjoying himself.

Hoping some snow comes tonight. Going to be bullet proof tomorrow.

I saw him post that this morning, he is the definition of "get after it no matter what". I dig it. Great guy and indestructible spirit for snow sliding. He will be on some carbon Worth's in the next few weeks as soon as the order comes in so hoping the marquette season is done for him by then
Looks like the new pooch is working out as a touring partner.

    from sugarloaf today

Anyone partake in the Boston Ski and Sports Club day trips and weekend outtings? cheaper than gas and I need to make some new ski friends. The older I get, the harder it is to find people to ride with... everyone broke or has kids or a bitch of a wife.

Anyone make it up to Sugarbush this past weekend/today? Heard from a friend it was dust on crust Sunday AM and then just plain old bullet-proof EC blue after about 2 runs.

NWS saying 3-7" overnight at Stowe, hoping something stacks up over SB.

Pay attention JONG, it's still even on this page. for the amount of absurdity in this thread, that's a damn near miracle.

Any new stuff better at least start out wet and heavy, none of that wonderful magic snow, otherwise it ain't stickin to shit.
