We took Natty and the skis for a walk at Mad River today, just blowing out the cobwebs and getting ready ... but not ready without a screwdriver to reset the bindings after loaning them out last spring. Rookie move. Maybe we need more snow too? It's happening now. Orographic goodness.

It wasn't a total crapshow ... hiking in snow is almost always good, and we also got 10lbs of oysters on the way home from a roadside spotting at 40mph. We've filled the dehydrator three times this week. Yum and really good for you too.

Well, not stoke at all, but my buddies car got stolen out of his driveway last night. He lives on a back road just North of Saratoga Springs, NY.

So if anyone sees a seafoam green 2002 Nissan Altima with a big Smith sticker, SOC sticker, and GoPro stickers on the back, you should probably call the cops.

Aside from that, I had a fantastic weekend. Saw some snow. Drank a lot. A girl kicked me out of her bed after she asked me what her name was and I blankly stared at her.

    Nice WV stoke, all!

Here is the TR from MC2.

Good man. With the temps dropping and no power, people are going to really get uncomfortable.

The only good thing, is maybe then, Tbatt can get a girl to stay in bed with him?

Be careful down there, the scene you described on the volunteering front did not sound safe at all.

I didnot see the captions, but got the details. Kid stoke > snow > happy to be here > nice pitch > Gotta love coal > no late skinning > nice vistas > end up here if you tresspass

27.7` base-o-bush with a scant 1/2" of snow on the ground and very light snow falling. Coverage looked solid from top of bravo up yesterday. Low last night was only 27.3` and this is not good. We need the fucking groung to freeze this year so the snow doesn't melt out from the bottom. Last night was the first time temp fell below 31` after the last heatwave [68` last week].
Yesterdays bike riding was fun except for the start, 36`so the fingers took a while to warm up , crossing village run to the summit and climbing up through the forest got the blood flowing.

Well, she asked me ex post facto, so I made out alright. heh.

Job is going well. Looking forward to getting on shifts so I can have 3-4 days off/week. There should be snow on the ground by then, too.

Hahaha. I remember those days. Well done my young jedi. On Friday night I had a chick in a bar proposition me and being happily married I declined the aggressive nature of this female predator but that is always good for the ego. I need to get out more.

Talk of nice storm this week. LH what say you . . .?

Went up smuggs/madonna yesterday and was surprised by the amount of snow. Decent base down for this week's potential storm and its snowing pretty hard right now so I am sure they got a few more inches over night. Skied FIS>Lower Docs>Chilcoot>Dans Ford

Some crappy iphone shots in low vis

Upper FIS at 5pm, foggy and snowing

    Lower Docs

Heard Jay is skiing well, Had a friend up there and said it was good and fresh. Too bad it looks like all this snow we got and are getting will be melting after this weekend.
