I've been there probably 30+ days per year in the last 6 years or so, aside from the 2010-2011 season because I was out in Buffalo for school. Wouldn't be shocked if I've seen you around. You can't miss me.. I'm the best skier on the mountain

My trip is gonna be for the rest of the season. Maybe next year (if I don't go back West for another season or five.)

I've never jumped into the K-Pico sidecountry but is it that hard to understand that if you hook a right off the glades triple you AREN'T going to come back inside the resort boundaries? I mean its a simple matter of topography. Do these idiots just keep going downhill forever?
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

got out for some cold runs this afternoon.
coldest i've on a lift in a few years, felt real.
felt good to ski some natural, not groomed, snow.
solo and slow today, just trying to find me legz after a long couple of weeks at the shop.

You're skiing awfully close to those trees son. Be careful Much nicer right in the middle of the trail, especially if there are more people around.

Won't be back up for two weeks, but then should be there most weekends for the rest of the season. Get in touch if you're gonna be around.

It's not like there aren't at least a half dozen signs just downhill of Coopers telling people that going down won't return to the resort and be prepared to spend the night!

Why read when you are fitted with a cell phone retrieval system? Hell, don't even look at a map and God forbid, don't use that pea brain in your head

Simple fix - make 'em pay for their extractions. Friggin' state is considering upping taxes on heating fuel for people who actually live here, ostensibly forcing us to "consume less." Here's a bright idea - if you get lost in the woods, you pay for your rescue at an ridiculous rate and those of us who already set our thermostats at 55 don't have to pay extra for heating fuel.

^^^^ not a bad idea. I know out west at some mountains they post signs saying that you are responsible for any rescue costs. Why should the idiots get a freebie? Then every other tard will go out if they have no repercussions to answer to.

    nice buttah.
fine is a winter that forces you to get off your bike and onto the snow once in a while
esp. like the footage skiing w/your shadow...snow looks tasty.

a couple of pics from platty sunday and monday. uncrowded. nice snow - if thin in spots.
bumped into scottski sunday which made for an excellent day...and ate about 6 slices of platt's fine pizza.

took zero pics at MRG friday as it was COOOOLD!
saturday started at the magic lot and ended at bromley.
sometimes it's good to show up late.

Mid week pow is the best pow by far. Anytime you can get up, no meats or cheeses needed even

Its a pow frenzy in ECRC these days, nice work all.

I dig the platty stoke as well. Steep fall line right to the lifts. Awesome on powder days, looked like great conditions BH.

I am fond of frosty trees as well

Nice late afternoon tour, -2 wasnt pic friendly

22.2` and 1 1/16" new snow bob. 30`warmer than yesterday must mean a thaw is imminent.

Nope, if they did they would hit the road and rescue themselves. Great skiing back there but best accessed by a long skin up. Been to the lodge many times back in the day for safety meetings and never once had an issue getting back inbounds. You're right in that it is simple terrain reading, nothing's tricky. Of course if you're a Joey than all bets are off.
