Yes, Brian Blade, is one of the best ever.
This has always been my go to: Early cobham before the big fusion days. Everyone known his legendary stuff with Mahavishnu, etc, but this stuff is super tight.

It's not really a drum solo, but I think we need to pay respect to the quick drum break at the 3:15 mark of In the Air Tonight. MSP used this in a ski segment several years back quite nicely, I should add.
