I think I'm going to be a spectator. Good luck to anyone who is racing.
A few questions that I'm hoping someone can answer.
-What time do you think the start will be over? We want to watch a bit of the racers then ride the Whole E.
-Any suggestions on prime viewing areas? Are racers going to be going through The Notch?

Here's what I just pulled off an email from yesterday:
" The Pro Men will start in a mass start by category promptly at 8:30 a.m. The will ride to the top of Burro Pass untimed and then start from the top of Burro Pass in individual time trial by 30 sec intervals. The Pro Women will be the next category to be released by mass start. Their start time is TBD based on the number of Pro Men to get through the start. Amateur Men and Amateur Women will follow in their respective categories. All individuals will be released in 30 sec intervals.
The Whole Enchilada will be timed from the top of Burro Pass to the first set of ropes and wooden pillars you come to, about 1/2 mile above where the singletrack starts. After you cross the finish line, you will ride the rest of the Porcupine Rim singletrack down to the river. This is the only way out. Buses and shuttles will be available for participants back to the Archway Inn. Spectators may take the shuttle out and back from the race finish as well, departing from the Aarchway Inn at 9:30 a.m."
So I'd imagine everybody will be off of the top of Geyser by 10ish? That may be a touch optimistic, hard to say.
The course is going through the Snotch. That would probably be a pretty good spot to watch.
Brett! Stoked to see you buddy! If possible, could you bring me a 12er of Dales and a 4pack of Gubna? I'm going through withdrawl.

Rain / snow would only help with Burro. I rode it two weeks ago and it was as blown out /dry as I've ever seen it, almost too much. There has been a few storms lately, these will only help. This weekend is going to be good weather, should be a good time. I have a feeling I will be one of the last guys to go (as usual), hope that means I get a lot of opportunity to pass. Being hurt sucks...
I was told we were riding the Notch, not the Snotch. Did you get that from the event organizer? Just wondering."People blame me because these water mains break, but I ask you, if the
water mains didn't break, would it be my responsibility to fix them then?
WOULD IT!?!"

...AND... I think... I'm in. Tentative weekend sitter on the hook! Sick.
Now, is anyone interested in running a Burro/Hazard shuttle Saturday mid-day, like noon-ish? I've never ridden from Burro to Warner. Would like to get that under my belt prior to racing. I know the rest well enough.I'm so hardcore, I'm gnarcore.
