Awesome speed riding video! Cool to see those angles off the peak. Very cool.

As for conditions, still getting some good snow on N aspects as of yesterday. Ticked off a line on Cartier I've been staring at for two years finally yesterday. Conditions are great if you can find the right aspect, can be slightly variable though.

Skier, middle under the summit block.

Nice work. I've been looking at that line, and the NE face of Cartier for the past few days. If there's a skin track to the top, I just might have to convince some friends to try it.

There is a skin track going up to the top of the NE face. My two friends dropped the N couloir into the bowl the day before yesterday. Going farther out and up the south bowl seems to be the best way to get to the other side of the summit. The walk around the west face is pretty interesting early in the day with the firm snow. Scared me with its seemingly endless fall line pitch to the river valley. The snow on the NE face might be a little variable I think. It does get a fair bit of sun in the morning. Looks like a super fun face though!

Didn't take any unfortunately. That would be really sick to fly though! Really consistently steep fall line. Not sure where you would want to land. I found this photo on Greg Hills blog.

There isn't any decent sized benches that I remember seeing on the way down. So just fly to the valley bottom!

If you do it, make sure to get video, that would be unreal!

I drove around the bottom, looked good, but ultra committed due to the tree factor. Would have to land on the river flats somewhere... Snow is probably gone now, but grass works. I will probably leave it for this season, but someone with a hybrid type wing and and reserve would be able to nail it relatively safely any time of year

Glad to see you guys are rocking winter up there! Today it's calling for 17 in town, 7 at the hills and sun sun sun. March didn't pan out with much snow, maybe 2 snowfalls, and quite warm. Very untypical Kootenays.

Whitewater is building this cool gentemstick- Japanese snow bowl, like a skate bowl.

I've been over winter for a while now. I'm happy to be moving on to spring! Pruning fruit trees today and watching the snow melt!

I had a really good 4 days last week when it snowed, but yeah, been on the bike a hell of a lot lately and loving it to be honest, although need to get up for a few laps in the slush this weekend for sure....here's a few pics from touring last saturday around 5 Mile/Enma

nice! I went up a couple times last week for that snow, but mentally was just wasn't there, so it was so-so. I'd already started to be over winter, so whatever.

Tomorrow at Red it's the slush cup and deck party. Red peeps have the best collection of retro and vintage outwear- everyone is dressed up. Not just 80's one pieces, but really sweet stretchy pants and matching sweater sets too. Random parties all over the mtn. Worth going for sure. I think I have a 2 for 1/50% off coupon if you want it.

    WW's day is next weekend.

542, thanks for the inspiration and information. We stuck to the east face, which was a mix of conditions.

For anyone wondering, we went up the east side, following a bench up to the ridge between the east and north faces. From there, we skinned a little and then boot packed the rest of the way. We were actually a few feet shy of the summit proper, but getting there would have required a sketchy walk along a very exposed slope neither of us were willing to do. If you're really picky about those kind of things, you can follow 542's route through the south bowl and then up the west face.

we wanted to ride something a bit steeper on sunday. halfway up the ridge my partner inquired about the status of my beacon, it was then that i realized i had left it in the truck. all the more reason to do beacon checks AT THE TRAILHEAD.

Rad shots, looks like skiing has been great. Getting into Calgary tomorrow night in route to Saturday departure to Ice Fall lodge out of Golden/Donald.

Thoughts are KHMR, Rodgers Pass or Revelstoke for Thursday/Friday. Group of three with experience, but not locally. Can someone throw up some ideas for finding best skiing - lift, hike otherwise for later this week in KHMR Revelstoke vicinity?
Like I told my last wife, I never drive faster than I can see, besides it's all in the reflexes.

Haven't been skiing around the Revy area in two weeks, went up to the hill today to see how things looked and we ended up at the bottom of Spilt Milk, decided fuck it, and bootpacked straight up that shit. I was giggling the whole time. Not sure how often that happens. hahaha.

On a more relevant note: It's snowing on Gnorm right now and raining pretty good in town. Curious to see what we get out of this system. Missed all those good days during the high pressure due to getting drunk in Rossland for their closing weekend. Always such a gong show.

Thanks, such a fun day and about a 1 minute sled lap back up.

Any snow info from the revy area would be appreciated, trying to get 2 more pow days in this year. Looks like it will have to be above 2000m.

Went to the hill. Pockets up to 20 cm 3/4 way down the stoke . Left at one and there was still pow 1/2 way down stoke. Supposed to keep snowing with a slight drop in temp. Fingers crossed. Get it early
