I don't see a GregAZ post. Did it get nuked? Man, that guy is slipping. Then again, it's summer.
Any actual ski town /resort village is not going to have much nightlife, btw.
If you wanna be able to wake up late with a hangover and not get hurt trying to ski steep shit while falling over, I'd say Vail. Both of the above options are a great way to spend a ton of money. Vail will be crowded. Probably not Telluride.
If you care about skiing, wait to see who gets more snow.

The east does have more consistent conditions. Consistently shitty hardpack with views of rocky meadows full of deadfall and rotting leaves.

That is fucking classic. There are so many things wrong with that post, I don't even know where to start. No I do:
"Quadrant" typically refers to something that is a quarter. The Western US is at least half.
I've seen hot NJ babes. Yeah man, nothing sexier than a guidette.
Rutland is a Normal Rockwell painting? I'll give you VT can be, but the parts that are are all well north of the K-Mart "quadrant"
Oh, shit! Waterville Valley, NH! I bet that's just like the 5000 acres of Vail! wow!
You know you fucking love TGR. You read this shit night and day.
I was gonna recommend coming to MT if we got good snow, but it's too early to tell. We just can't compare to the 100% snowmaking gnar of Great Northern to Bunny Buster.
ok, I'm done.
It's getting old Greg. enough. We get it. You love tgr, but you feel the need to validate your existence and recruit member to a website no one cares to shits about.
as far as what color:

So you want to go somewhere we all haven't been huh? Well shucks, I haven't heard of that vail place, and aspen sure does sound like a quiant, hole-in-the-wall type place. Aren't you just the trail blazer! Are you sure these hidden gems will have enough of a Party scene for your wild antics?
If I had to pick from places you names, I'd go T-ride for sure. Plus it's close enough for a jaunt to Silverton if you have the time/inclination.
