While on the topic, does anyone know when we can expect the first copy of FreeSkier?

Yeah. I just had back surgery and was completely laid up for ten days. This came on day 7, when I was at my most disabled. Total spirit saver.
I demoed the TECH TALK JONG! pro model this spring and their performance was unparalleled which is good because I ski in a wedge most of the time - bendtheski, 2011

    Is this for real?

Is Greg actually saying that his little bump with man made snow trumps my back yard; Mt. Baker's 808 inches of snow last year? Or 857" the year before that, or the 634" the year before that and so on and so on.... Now, any hill with snow is better than one without, but from my experience, I surely disagree!

    And TGR's "Juvenile hypocritical guttersniping"?

Well that guttersniping sir, and I use the term sir loosely and without attatchment, is what warms my heart.

Yes, Greg is absolutely for real. I for one applaud his strident and earnest proselytizing on behalf of the RIGHT coast... home of true soul skiing!

Scares me to even think about it...

In other news.... I picked up the latest issue and was surprised by some of the pics in the "fantasy draft" section. I noticed there wasn't a write up on the SFB or Opus in Line's hardgoods section.

Maybe LINE decide to spend their "review" money with Freeskier.

Mine showed up on my doorstep last night. ...And I didn't even need TP.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I honestly picked up the new Powder mag, and thumbed through it. Then I realized that there was nothing in there that I cannot get on the internet times a thousand.

    No problem.
Go buy some TGR gear. You get a free subscription to POWDER!
(Not sure if it's based on how much you spend, or what, but I know I've got "re-upped" a couple of times)
I think they are prolly having a Sale right now, too.

Internet? Sure when going deep on reviews.......... but otherwise Boooooorrrrriiiinnnnggggg.......Powder's got GREAT stories.

Sitting back in a hammock , 79 degrees on the ocean (Puget Sound, my back yard) with a cold brew flipping the pages of Powder, counting the days for the Cascades to get nuked... just about as good as it gets.

One Parvo story a year is more entertaining than anything Powder can put out. And I will take a good 666 TR over a story in Powder about pro's going to ski ANOTHER rad place I will never get to.

Gotta love when Powder shows up. I think Freeskier shows up next week.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

I've been thumbing through it since it came. For whatever reason, maybe cause it's August, or whatever, it's kept me way more entertained than the winter issues. Good shit. Definitely going to reup.

Love the cover shot! Very visually appealing/interesting than the usual porn

I enjoyed reading it. I thought their approach to the buyer's guide was a nice change of pace, but could use some refining.
