Confession (I'm coming home)
I've been away. We've been apart. The months dragged, the memories stayed strong.
I sought distraction. I busied myself with lesser tasks and tried to forget our time together. Each surrogate brought joy and smiles, but somewhere, something in me would not forget.
Transferral only lasts so long.
So I'm coming home.
The earth has tilted, the air has chilled, and I am ready to return to your embrace. Cautiously at first, with mild trepidation, searching for that spot where we left off. It may take a day, it may take a week, but I know we will find ourselves and feel true.
Summer loves are fun affairs, but the power of winter reaches deep into the soul.
So I'm coming home.
Tomorrow.
