saw a bro model parked outside the glacier creek lodge on blackcomb yesterday. sweet looking ride for sure! the alpine wasn't too bad, found some good stashes and had a pretty solid day. hopefully more snow soon come...

Saw a pair at Squaw yesterday too. The owner was a friend of the Slouch people not a maggot.

That's a guy who runs a shop at Squaw. We were hand-flexing a pair of his (unnamed big name) skis in the shop in September and snapped them, so we threw him a pair of blems. There were four pair of Bros at the Wood yesterday.

I ski with Eon (works at the Oakley store at Snowbird) he love the skis, just got them in the last two weeks. I have not skied them but the few people I know who have skied on them all rave about them.

Did you snap them in half like the Bride's instructor in Kill Bill 2 did to that block of wood?

-Karl (never knew you could break skis by flexing them by hand)

Actually it's quite easy if you flex them backwards (pushing from the base side). Skis don't like that at all...

Yeah, but I'm assuming they weren't pushing them that way.
Jeez, Splat, I never heard about that. In fact, I've never heard of anyone ever damaging skis by flexing them in a shop--were you guys trying to flex them into a circle, or are they just so crappy that they break when you look at them wrong?

I didn't do it, one of the other guys broke it and showed me the ski. When we were checking out the influence of metal in skis and flexing everything in sight this guy brought his skis by to show, and they broke on a hand flex. We flex the Bros pretty hard.

An interesting sidenote: When we put mounting plates in the Bros, the camber would just get sucked out of the skis. But if we backflexed the skis, as ElRobbo said above, it would put the camber back in the metal and the ski.
So then we started checkin out metal skis off the racks to see if they lost camber that could be put back into the ski by backflexing it, measuring the camber height on a table before and after. Interesting preliminary results.

Idris and natty dread giving the Bro Model a 375 pound flex test in October.
I used the same pair of skis later that day after having a very big breakfast at Jean's in order to continue the flex test on the mountain.

P.S. I wouldn't dare let Idris and natty dread do the same thing to my Scratch BCs. The Bros are true Bomber skis.

Scientists now have decisive molecular evidence that humans and chimpanzees once had a common momma and that this lineage had previously split from monkeys.

This is my friend Ronald. He's so stoked on his Bros he wants to buy into PM Gear so we can make more skis.

I saw Ron at Solitude on Sunday, he claims he'll be on the board soon. (message board that is)
