A strong flow of poon from CU Boulder will infiltrate the Summit County region once again.
Someone will ask how to get to Chad's Gap and which LCC resort is better.
PNW will get some rain.
Jackson will get a few new bro brahs in town who will try their hardest to get in with the TGR boys.
An East Coaster will ask about coming to Vail on vacation and wonder how to ski East Vail.
Overall, it will snow in all the usual places. I think everyone is hoping for at least an average season.

it'll be an average year which because of last year, will seem like teh uber deepness. I will be butthurt at some point over lack of constant snow and cold temps.

I guess that is "average" for them so we can hope for an "average" snow season.

The RAMJAC Corporation will start it's super sekrit cloud seeding operation over certain select mountain ranges where it operates resorts through shell company sham fronts. Intrawest will try and corner the market on silver iodide, spawning years of litigation, gonads and strife.
For two hours after last chair on any day of a big dump, the closest bar will be The Happiest Place on Earth.

It's gonna fucking dump.
Early season will have the locals hiking for turns with big stupid grins and posting trip reports of face shots and fresh tracks.
In colorado on November there will be storm after storm of dense wet snow that build up a super stable layer to 60" by decemember 5th.
Every ten days from there on out it will get cold and dump on sunday nights, closing passes and tunnels and the folks and the other side will enjoy quik lift lines with lots of pole-wacking up high, down low and powder fever will keep everyone in a great mood.
Snow will fly, Stoke will flow

2. the world will not end on dec. 21, 2012 ( but just in case, ii will be riding mt. hood dec. 20-22).

Ocean temps are consistently rising, atmospheric patterns beginning to switch from ENSO neutral to Nino. Climate models are mostly in unison. NOAA released its latest prediction today: weak to moderate strength El Nino for winter '12-'13. My predictions: the Tetons get only 300 to 400 inches of snow, several really huge storm systems will hammer the Cascades and Sierras but fizzle out before any snow gets inland to the Tetons and this year the Tetons won't be the only place in the lower 48 with good snow for the xmas holidays. We had very good water years for 5 out of the last 7 winters and that's about as good as it gets around here. We are due for some drought and it feels like it is here already. So far this summer, the Tetons have had barely two inches of rain over the last two months. That would make for about 25-30 inches of snow spread over 60 days......
