Jon Lord R.I.P
Well, SHIT! The aging rockers are dropping like flies. I've always been a huge Deep Purple fan and was saddened to hear that original keyboard player and one of the founders of the band, Jon Lord, died yesterday after battling pancreatic cancer at age 71 (same age as my Mom).
Gotta go dig up my Deep Purple In Concert CD, their 1970 performance of Wring That neck is Mr Lord at his finest!
Looks like YouTube's my friend:
I was lucky enough to see DP with Lord a few times over the years, never forget the 1st time in 85 at the Cow Palace on the Perfect Strangers tour. R.I.P. Mr Lord
And time for the RRHoF to get their shit together and start inducting and recognizing legendary bands like Deep Purple before they're all dead and buried."The mind, once expanded to the dimensions of larger ideas, never returns to its original size."

Why does every celeb who dies need a RIP thread?
