Well, woke up this morning, and my knee is bugging worse than it has in a few months (since the initial "sprain"). Didn't do anything out of the ordinary yesterday, so I'm really not sure WTF is going on. We'll see what happens. Really want to make it up there - made some cookies last night and the car's all packed to go - but I'm not gonna risk it if the knee doesn't improve throughout the day.

If you are injured than don't push it. I had a buddy at City League who was our fastest racer and he sprained his knee a week before and we were short handed so he decided to push through it and blew out his ACL. It depends on the injury though. My knees have tendonitis from too much basketball and ski touring actually rehabs my knees and they feel stronger the next day.

Thanks for the concern and advice. But after spending some time on the foam roller this morning, it feels pretty decent (knock on wood). Think I'm gonna go for it this time. It's been fine playing soccer and hiking, so I'm hopeful skiing won't be much worse for it.

Hope to see you all up there! Pumped on this weather.

What an evening, and a way to kick off Summer.
An amazing assortment of friends in a cool place.
Tight right, in the twilight, super corn skiing.
Another solstice I wont soon forget.

don't get much better than today. thanks to the reportedly 80 kooks that made this solstice a spectacle to remember. here's hoping that we'll have the snowpack to make it a hat-trick next year.

I guess I was thinking about this last night even though I didn't attend. I had a dream I was at Alpental but I distinctly remember I didn't have gloves or goggles. The other oddity is I took a bus to get to the top of chair 2. Can we get this set up for next year's event?
