    TVR 2...something oddly appealing about this car

    whem we lived in Switzerland, our neighbor had a TVR. I remember it as being throaty loud and pretty stubby looking....fast, but not exactly stellar in the looks department.


    I guess times have changed.

    definitely a car you would need to see in person before committing to. The 80's TVRs looked great in pics but in person, the nose dropped back by the door post giving the illusion that it was bent in half

    If memory serves me (it's been having labor disputes lately, often going on strike), many of the 80's TVRs were sorta wedge-shaped, weren't they? Harkening nearly to a TR8 shape?

    Those 80's designs were never really my favorite.

    Was there ANY design from the eighties that was beautiful to look at from ANY car-maker?

    I tend to think of the eighties as the Dark Ages in autobile design.

    That 2006 TVR is fairly gorgeous, though...I see a bit of Jaguar E-type in those lines.

    Audis and Porsche in the 80s rocked. Ferrari too.
