I ski Alta a bunch and have never witnessed the hardass shennanigans around first chair. I feel like I am missing something.

if you drive up in the morning when the road opens, its most likely settled by the time youre in line. Wildcat gets my vote.

    Last I heard....Alta opening day:

00:57....small tribute to him, lots of past tense verbiage....yet: "we will miss him.....if he is actually gone".

On another note, now I know why this season was another half assed one: Dude at 3:55 doomed us: "This is going to be the season that beats all seasons we ever saw"

Exactly where do you suggest they search? They found his car and based on those who knew him, and the situation he was in he committed suicide.

Going to bump this as I rode the lift at Alta today with his old boss the owner of Alyeska ski resort.

The only thing he was able to tell me is that more than one individual had approached the sheriff in Alta and mentioned they had conversations with hard core where he mentioned that if he were ever to off himself he'd do it in such a fashion that no one would ever find him. Conversations like this never took place with the boss in fact he was shocked when he heard these revelations.

The boss also believed, after having known Corey for so long, as well as another of his coworkers, that if he had indeed just split (like new identity whatever) that he would have contacted them somehow.

There is some history of alcoholism...FYI there was no loss of job nor issues with boss man or his fellow "co-workers" (he had some on location boss type).

Figured i started this thread...got some "new" info and i should share.

My guess: he's somewhere off the coast of Australia, in the Southern Indian Ocean.

If you have held your spot and need to step out and take a piss great, get a cuppa joe...no problem. Step out for a nap or panckakes? they should give your skis and spot to the homeless.

Dude I've hiked a bunch up there in the summer looking around the spring he went missing. I'm praying this is Corey's bones to provide closure for his son.

Looks like this is the closure we were waiting for. I always heard the story was hiking in hell gate area. Being all alone. Rockslide or fall and well. Sad story.

RIP Corry. I'm glad your family can have some peace.

... for the umpteenth time, Corey had/has a son; not a daughter. One helluva a great son as well; any man would be proud to call him his own. Carry on.
