Here's a shot I got of my friend on Big Joe in the Lachine Rapids (Montreal).

Doesn't matter how low the water gets around here.

Heading to Likely for the 20th annual UnLikely paddlefest this weekend... got me a date with a rapid that won last time.

Yup... quesnel 2 me 0 this year, which sucked because the Chilco was in at a good level and the weather was awesome.

Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Lochsa River, 5/25/13. Bachelor party with a longtime friend. 26 miles from the top down to the Lochsa Falls. Great water and great times! Plus we caught a fish on the Beaverhead that wasn't too bad.

It's a double wave hole setup, best 1800 to 2200, could get sticky, and from the glimpse I caught as u floated by it looks the same! IIRC, 5k was optimum for entire stretch. remember running the roadside micro creek that drops into the drainage from the eastside/canaan, can't recall the name but was ledgey and slidey. have made runs down otter, red creek, red run, N and Main Fks of BW, even tiny little Laurel Run. so many quality creeks and rivers flow into the dry fork, really quite amazing considering other EC drainages. The area in general is not without people but has a lot of empty wilderness with respectable relief that never sees any human traffic once you get off the beaten paths. Anyhow, thanks for the memories, very surfy run that is hard to catch with sun, pleasant weather like you did.

At 12,000 cfs and up check the black fork cheat just above Parsons, there's an old dam study site where some structure has constricted the river and channels up some hefty piles with a few feet of green in front. Another surfy gem down there is the Arden stretch of the Tygart, had features in from 450 cfs to 12,000+, 9,000 cfs was money for one spot in particular, but nobody seems to get after high water WV anymore save for the dries.
