Right now I am listening to All Things Must Pass. My vote for #1. Phil Spector's greatest work, and, ha, that's funny, because he was the King of Singles.

I'm not a big Stones fan, but Beggar's Banquet is close to perfection.
"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ
"She was tossing her bean salad with the vigor of a Drunken Pop princess so I walked out of the corner and said.... "need a hand?"" - Odin
"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy

If you're going with some cure, gotta be wish or disintegration for "perfect" albums.
Through being cool by saves the day is my perfect driving album. I have some friends that while enroute from Syracuse ny to Florida didn't care/realize they had the same album on repeat until Georgia
Gza liquid swords, any of the hold steady albums or the weakerthans left and leaving also come to mind for me

Yeah, I was wondering why Disintegration wasn't the pick from The Cure.
I had forgotten about Through Being Cool. Though I did like selected songs from Stay What You Are better (Freakish is definitely my favourite song by them).
I think my top "perfect" album would be Deja Entendu by Brand New. Not sure why, but I LOVE every single song off the album.
Others:
Transatlanticism - Death Cab
Building Something Out of Nothing - Modest Mouse
Since I grew up on digital music, I really make playlists of my favourite songs rather than listen to albums. I think those three are the only albums I can think of where I wouldn't skip a song. I rarely even listen to Death Cab or Brand New anymore, but I still think those albums were fantastic as a whole.
Best driving "album" ever is Bob Seger's Greatest Hits (1994). I know it's not technically an album, but whatever."Alpine rock and steep, deep powder are what I seek, and I will always find solace there." - Bean Bowers

Yeah it's not like some deep insight or anything but it's crazy how much digital music and having a remote control of some type changed things. We'd be stoned, sitting on the couch, it was enough work to get up and flip the thing over or put a new one on every half-hour.
For a new-"er" album I guess I'd nominate "& the mysterious production of eggs" (Andrew Bird) although that's not so new anymore.

Kind of hard to pinpoint perfection on some of the newer stuff although right now I'm leaning to Trombone Shorty "Backatown" and El Stew "No Hesitation". Also, while not really new, Amerigio Gazaway mash up of Fela Kuti and Del la Soul is pretty damn good.

How about having your opinion count?
Search for the Perfect Album on NPR
I agree with a lot of what's been said here - My Aim is True, OK Computer, etc. I would add:
Joni Mitchell "Blue"
Led Zeppelin "Physical Graffiti"
De La Soul "Three Feet High...."
Radiohead "In Rainbows"
Roxy Music "Avalon"
Peter Gabriel "Us"
Peter Gabriel "So"
Prince "Purple Rain".
