Nice work! Low snow year = aesthetic inset couloir skiing? Also, I had no idea that "Chute Out" went form the top of Ellery. Last May I did the Dana - Ellery tour twice, and booted powerhouse/Chute Out from the bottom without connecting the dots. Cool line!

Looking forward to a report, Mike. Heard the snowbridges are gone at the curve. I've waded the creek there before, but never in April or early May; imagine it's a torrent right now. Wondering if the west facing ridge from the pass to Leavitt is as cooked as I'm thinking it is. Have a great day and tell the rest of us what's up.

Creek crossing at the hairpin is sticky sketchy. Icy boulders, too much for me. Wind is howling.

Meant to say creek crossing is sketchy, but as usual my phone thinks it knows better than me what I want to type.

Decent amount of people out on Saturday. Spent a mellow day mostly east of No-Name and the Pass before hitting up Tioga on Sun. The winds weren't too bad for the most part and the snow was skiing surprisingly well even when we got back to the road around 3-3:30.

Can't help on beta re the traverse out to the Y vs. what it looked like few weeks ago but it did look like the snow bridge down at the hairpin was gone.

Is that snow bridge still traverseable? The one about 100 yards down from the falls?

y skied well this afternoon, still wintery at top, transition through porn to nice corn by the bottom few turns. went from the top of the pass so maybe a mile of walking on pct
Like I told my last wife, I never drive faster than I can see, besides it's all in the reflexes.

Went a little north of Sonora to ebbetts pass, never been up there. Looked sweet! Anyone have any info on the area? Saw a boarder and a skier coming down around 1pm seemed pretty manky - I was just there w fam wasn't skiing but wanna come back.

My wife skied No Name from the pass today. A bit of dirt in and out. Good skiing. She said Leavitt looked fat. For as little snow we had this winter, there is still a lot up high. Get some!

I have skied around there many times. A great area to do partial car shuttle laps. Here is a link to a TR from last week
I also skied there on Saturday and will head back up today.

View of the hairpin last Thursday late afternoon...road re-opened that morning.

    Showing off Gnar Face...

The Y and the Summit shots looked to be in mid-winter shape...oh my!

Top of the pass playing in the fresh snow...

    Leavitt Falls...

    hey Mike-
not to say there's been a change of seasons--
But is it getting a little smokey down your way??

saw some crew types loading buggys this am.
