Moving to the PNW - Take my boat?

Looks like we're moving closer to Alpental. I've got a 14' Sea Nympho with a solid 9.9 motor. Any use for that rig out there? Think I might tow it out on the quick with the Suby and then fly back east for the main move, a 3-5 week meander west in the CRV with the wife.

Lakes all over and the Sound. You'll find a use.

    ^Don't listen to him...

    Leave it in Granville!

(Bummed you're moving, but closer to Alpental isn't a bad thing.)

Yeah. Pretty stoked. Thinking to settle in Cle Elum. 20 min from the lifts, hot tub and my personal back country guide who's gonna give me a part time job wrenching on his equipment, running to Home Depot for supplies and maintaining his two snowmobiles.

You can probably get it shipped for a lot less than you'd spend on gas, time and wear-and-tear on the car if just getting it there is the point.

    Bring the boat.

The money you'll make smuggling dope and mexicans across the Canada/US border will more than pay for the gas

Cle Elum lake is one of the more fun spots in the summer that close to the pass. Kachess for a little more quiet.

Looks like about $1800 to ship the car and boat. About the same to drive it out and fly 2 or 3 back home. I'm smelling ROAD TRIP!!!

^^^ So. You up? I'll fly you out. 8 hrs driving, 8 hrs shotgun and 8 hrs sleeping in the back of the Suby.

I smell adventure. Why not just take the boat? Especially if you have small children. Down the Intercoastal to Panama past Baja up the W. Coast.

More of a Lowes region I guess. The PNW could benefit from big orange

I think that was the name of the Pamela Anderson/Tommy Lee movie.
I still call it The Jake.

Towed it as far as Ft Collins and dropped it off with my brother for him to use with his two sub-teen sons. Agreement is I'll take it back when my grand kids could sit with their feet touching the bottom of the boat. Looks like next summer one will fit and she loves to fish. Never been to Yellowstone and that's about 1/2 way from North Bend.

BTW. Since my first post I sold most of what I had acquired over 40 years including the house. Loaded into the CRV with my best friend for life and set out on a trip for whatever number of weeks in a mostly west direction to see whatever we felt like seeing. We left knowing that at the end of the trip all we want would be waiting. Yes it was and is.
