New shoes felt great today but I still shot a 96. Must need to replace my 10+ year old bag with a new one, then I'm sure I can shoot in the mid 90's next game.

New addition always calls for another.
Itís like a never ending chain reaction!
    Change outfits, too.
Thatíll easily shed another 5 shots.

Came across some Innova discs for 25 cents a piece at a thrift store.. Added a satchel for two bucks to carry them in. I already had a nice set of discs and good bag. Thinking of trying to get my teen son or daughter interested in walking a course one of these days. Also left the small kit in the back of the wagon in case we stumble across some baskets when traveling and want to throw some..
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

Thank you Mr Woodland. $5 for $380 swapped the cash for a new Fairway Wood (Well not all of it)!

Kept it together last night for an 85. Never really got hot and never really got too cold. Although, I did get 3 doubles on the back. I did manage to Eagle a derivable Par 4.

43-42 and started the round with 5 bouges in a row.... didn't let it shake me.
I'm cool with this, as long as you Kirkwood Bro Brah's stay away from Heavenly when 88 closes- TahoeBc

Takes the scoring pressure off so one can enjoy a good walk and a few brewskis

Iíve been on a nice run of playing some of the best courses in the country and the other day was no exception. Martis Camp in Truckee exceeded our expectations... every hole was beautiful.

The clubhouse in that last photo is ridiculous. 60k square feet blasted into the side of the mountain with some crazy rock work. Iíll be coming back for sure.

Shot a 77 despite... uh... a few cocktails.

Tripped a memory. Keep the faith. I once was 5 over going to the 6th tee as a once a week golfer with a 12 HC and playing clubs cut 3/4" short. Finished 2 under and can still remember the bird at 6 and every one of the 31 strokes on the back 9. That Caddy Shack scene in the storm with the Rev is real. It can happen. I hope the swing finds you someday like it did me.

    Fore! Who's playing golf, yo-

^^ ha, yes, going deep into the zone happens. I once went 40 on the front and then shot 30 (6 under on the back). Barely remember it, other than a putt lipping out on 18 that would have gone for 29.

I can only imagine how people who shoot 59 feel.

I've been stuck in the 92-102 range for a while, yet to break 90. I just started playing semi-regularly in the late summer/fall of last year after taking a year+ off (but before the break I was still always shooting in the 90's). Then I didn't play much this last winter, being in Tahoe almost every weekend. So a few months ago I started playing again about once a week. I'm a 2-3 beer a round kinda guy, not taking it too seriously but I am trying to improve my game. It would be nice to shoot in the high 80's on a semi-regular basis. My irons and short game are my strengths, driver gets crazy when I try to get power and not much distance when I slow it down, but then it goes straight! Putting is just fucking hard but I have my moments sometimes. Golf is just addicting as hell and a great way to spend a day, I truly love it.

Got a call up to fill a spot on the Valley Cup Team for tomorrow. Let's see if I can do better than the 48-40 I posted in the last match. I'll bring a dozen balls to hit first for a warm up this time.

    Speaking of Newarkís finest.
Boyfriend played an outing at Baltusrol today.
He said it was hot and miserable.
Wish my Monday was hot and miserable at a golf course instead.

    Understandable in that case!

Heading to Denver next week for the 4th, bringing the clubs along. Already have 18 scheduled at Common Grounds but looking for other recs within 30 or so minutes of DT Denver

    Keep it in the bag?

Wild ride at the Valley Cup competition. Opening drive was a pop up slice that bounce of a tree that was OB and found the center of the fairway. I holed a couple of 6 footers and 3 20-30 footers in for pars. Sculled a shot from 150 to pin high. Shank-chipped sideways then chipped in for a par. The 3 guys I was playing against were the same HC as me and collapsed on the home stretch watching me pull rabbits out of hats. Two OB's for double bogies and a birdie free woulda, coulda, shoulda been better 82 that was good enough to score points for the team.

    Perfect weather

Missed the cut in district qualifier. I haven't played in a tourney like that in a long time...forgot how difficult it can be, grinding all day

    Back to the lumber yard
If it's green, smoke it...if it's pink, poke it

Bummer. Hard to swing like you don't care when you really do. I followed along with a 2 HC at the regional at Locust a couple of decades ago. He missed it too.
