Your finger’s alright now?
Mine needs a minor hand surgery on September 9th.
Will be out of the game for 2-4 weeks to recover.

Well the idea of breaking 100 went well today, ended up shooting 85! Mediocre quality course in slc, had to play an assortment of holes to get nine, then played them again as they had a ton of ground under repair, oh well I’ll take it! Let’s see if I can make it stick

Back in Kiawah Island, SC.
We made in but our clubs went to Charlotte. Playing with rentals at Cougar Point.
Tripled last par 5, shot 48 front 9.

Shot the best 9 of my life on Saturday on a very tough track--37. Was even on the back (two birdies, two bogs) through 17, but hit my drive into the trees on 18. Saving bogey still felt pretty good. I don't feel like I played all that better on the back than the front (46), but, meh, that's golf. More rounds in the 80s this summer than in the rest of my life combined, so I guess I'm trending in the right direction. Alas, almost September.

365 Things To Do In Washington State
#237 - Have you played the Apple Island Green? Apple Tree Resort was carved from the rolling terrain of 100 year-old orchards in Yakima, Washington. The Apple Island Green is the 17th hole on the course, and its unique WA state inspired design makes it one of the most memorable shots that you’ll ever hit. (Photo via Apple Tree Golf Course)

I did that itinerary a couple years ago, sans The Old course and Gullane. Had the time of my life, you will too. I played really well at Berwick . I took money from two members, who showed me where to hit it. Also played well at Carnoustie, stellar front 9 but the driver, 4 iron back 9 wore me down. I did par 17, where a plaque says Watson didnt make par all four days when he won there. St Andrews New had got the better of me, but what a view into town coming in at the town, with views of the Old. Kingsbarns is unreal, I mean unreal. The 12th there is probably the coolest golf hole I have ever played.
I would mention if you can go in Late September or Early October you have the best chances for Stable weather. I played in sunshine and still winds three or four of those rounds.

I've been in Nashville for a week and wasn't sure how much golf I could sneak in since I was with the family. The first round on Friday was at Gaylord Springs and was $83, but I drove by the course the day before and it looked so good I decided to splurge instead of going to one of the many munis here. My wife and kids went downtown to a museum and other tourist things so I then played another 9 before my wife picked me up with the rental.
Yesterday I played one of the munis called Harpeth Hills for $40 with a cart on Sunday a.m. The course was in fantastic shape and the greens were fast and also in great shape. Today I was able to sneak in 9 at another muni called Two Rivers that was also in great shape. If I had played one of the munis before GS I would never have played GS. Muni courses here are way better than back home and also a bit cheaper.
I'm not sure what type of grass the greens are, but they hold up really well and there are no ball marks. It rained all of last night and this a.m. and I skied a 9 iron in and couldn't even find a ball mark.

Keeping it alive in the Presidents Cup. Won my match and now flight. IN the $! Was +2 through 8 then put 2 in the hazard. Just need to clean up 2 -3 holes per round...and make a few more putts.

My buddy Geezer Bob is 88 and shot his age today, which is not unusual for him. He's pretty amazing.
Me- approach my ball, line up, back off, take a couple of practice swings, address the ball, pause as I run 50 swing thoughts through my head, and swing-sometimes I even hit it crisp.
Him-walks up to ball, faces target, and swings-usually hitting it solid and down the middle. His mind is sharp, too.

Fore! Who's playing golf, yo-
One of the most enjoyable rounds of the year tonight. My son and I play every Sun night (was going to be tonight because of holiday) but he fucked up and didn't do his chores so I went solo.
Course was closed when I showed up at 430...pull cart it was...
I saw 2 other singles on the course all night. One of my best ball striking rounds of the year, which I needed. I played 2 hungover rounds in a row and was off my game a bit.
Club championship is this weekend. I'm on my best behavior to stay well rested all week and will be playing every night but Wed leading into the weekend to keep everything automatic
If it's green, smoke it...if it's pink, poke it
