Golf is a hell of a drug. I hate playing golf when it's under 70 degrees.

Nutmeg is a muddah! I always play my best when its below 50 degrees. Just the skier in me I guess.

Good idea with the foam thingy. Our local cc opened for one weekend (then was promptly told to shut down) and cut the holes shallow so you didn't have to touch the flag. Seems like golf you'd be able to adhere to 6'...without carts in use.

You handle the par 3's well. Get up and down for par much?

It kinda funny, that the country club behind the house I own with my ex, has more people walking around than it ever did when it was open for play.

This was Richter Park in Danbury, CT.
Really nice public course if you can get a tee time.
You can also see Morefar from the other side of the lake.
Sorta Augusta Country Club to Augusta National over the fences.

New long iron shafts...time to party

Have been noticing that I really have to work to get through the ball on long irons so been experimenting with shafts.

I use x100s (130g) and tried soft stepping x100s in 4-6 and that just created a bigger problem. Shaft felt too whippy and still too much work to get through the ball

I put the AMT white X100 in my 3h and love it. Swapped standard X100 for the AMT in the 3h (109g vs 130g) and it's noticeably way easier to get through the ball and shaft has exact same feel and stiffness.

    Now my 6i will be 118g, 5i 115g, and 4i 112g....flowing into my 3h at 109. 7-wedges all at 130g

AMT white are new true temper shafts that progressively decrease in weight from wedge up. Wedge is 130g, stepping down 3g per club. They have white (same low spin low traj profile as standard dynamic gold), black (lighter than white with mid spin and traj), and red (lighter than black with highest spin/traj). Great concept

Can't wait to swing them...should change a lot for me

For me, one club and two balls on an empty course is heaven.

Picked up some nearly new club heads and a wedge: Mizuno MP-20 MB (8-PW); MP-20 MMC (5-7); MP T20 50/7 wedge.

Need to reshaft and tweak loft/lie and learn to play them. A few degrees stronger lofts than my MP-60s. Will be a fun project to work through this summer.

Noice. I played them and too much of a blade for my game. I like a touch muscleback. Where'd you get them?

Golfwrx - they were prolly played 1-2 rounds. The MMC should help more than the MP-60s I’ve been playing all these years, and the MB will be too hard to hit but whatev. I’m not competing. It will be fun to try these.

    Fuck yeah

I played Mizunos for last 15 yrs...just switched to Callaway this year

Let me know if you have any questions about shafts. I'm a pretty big golf nerd and have tried all sorts of stuff.

Thanks! I had swapped out my old DG S300s for some Nippon Modus3 105S in my MP-60s, and liked them. I’ll try the Modus3 first and see how it goes.

The shafts that came with the new heads are KBS Tour 120 S and if the Modus3 shafts work then the KBS shafts will get posted. I also have the DG S300s around...

Old Farts Dinner & Golf league starts next week. Twosomes only and Tailgate instead of dinner in the clubhouse. So far it looks like everyone from last year is still alive.

My first set of irons were blades. Probably why I like thin top lines and a low bounce sole.

    New driver shaft. Woof!

R&D session in the backyard about to go down to tinker with swingweight. Shaft has really high balance point so I should be able to add about 10g to head without sacrificing speed
