Will disinfect the cart before and after the ride while wearing mask.
I can’t wait to get out.
    Good to hear...hit em well!

My Ironman streak of 7 consecutive days on the course ended tonight with rain and colder temps coming for a few days. Been having a lot of fun out there and striking the ball really well.

I'll be out there again Sun

Really excited for this season. I've tweaked my driver setup to the point of being the most confident I've ever been in my 35 yrs golfing to consistently hit the fairway, and the rest of my game is solid enough to do some damage from the fairway.

    Let's go!!!

Courses are all closed here in MD, people are calling the cops if they see people playing golf by themselves. The weather has been nice lately, it's a shame.

New York State just categorized golf as non-essential.
I finally got out of 26 day quarantine and was going to celebrate beating COVID-19 doing what I love to do.
My Friday, Saturday and Sunday tee times are all canceled.
    I’m crushed.

Maybe we'll just walk more... without chasing after a ball.

Our local course opens for the year tomorrow. I just finished up playing 9 and they have all these pool noodle things in the holes. I guess to keep you from putting you hand into the hole.

Takes away from the satisfaction of the ball going in the hole. Guess I shouldn’t complain. We are still golfing.

Never get tired of this view

If I lived near my old Durand Eastman I think I'd be able to find a way to walk onto the 5th with a wedge or 6 iron a beer an 6 balls. The course here is closed and fenced in. And everybody knows me. Good thing/bad thing. I'm content chipping flops into a bucket with as SW for practice. 60 or so shots a day. 12 shots a session. Some left handed. Some one handed facing away from the bucket. Mixing it up. Play it as it lies. Keeping it fun. I chipped one in yesterday. But it hopped out.

Net. I saw this dumped at the old golf now frisbee golf course. The netting protected the patio dining behind the 3rd green. Perfect for a back yard net to practice full swings. I'll talk to Scottie next week about hauling it out.

I set up a net once in my garage and almost killed myself when I hit one off the toe that missed the net and ricocheted around the garage and past my nose. But that's when a wood was wood and the face had the diameter of a soup can.

What net is that and where did you order it from? Thinking of setting up something like that in the backyard

This is link to the mat. Did a TON of research on mats and this gets best reviews and cheaper than anything of similar quality. I got the A grade which are basically new according to everyone who bought. Apparently they're from TopGolf. TopGolf swaps out all mats after one year and returns to the manufacturer who cleans them up and sells them used. They accept wooden tees and have great shock absorption...some of the similar quality mats get complaints about beating up joints from hitting down on the ball and those who have tried all the good ones all say this is the best. They sell B grade for $160 which are supposed to be great condition as well

My neph is getting spooky good. The target is a loving cup my dad won in a golf tournament in 1952. Golf spirits at work?

    I GOT A TEE TIME!!!
It’s two hour round trip to Connecticut and might rain (definitely wet condition) but I got a tee time on Saturday!!
Their driving range is open too, so I’m gonna hit million balls before or after (maybe both!) the round.
    I am so, so excited!
Be back with lots of photos to report!

    Niiiice!

I'll be on my new backyard driving range on Sat...supposed to be nice

This mat is incredibly nice. Very impressed with quality and feel. It's really soft but strong. Crazy how strongly it holds tees. Can't really tell it's used either

Net arrived today but it's cold as F till Sat

Like it. Basic black should compliment your hair color and look smashing with whatever color story that you choose to wear to the golf course. Pro tip. Don't over do it on the range and enjoy your round for what it is. A liberation.

    Awesome

NY just made announcement regarding loop hole. Everything is a private course now basically so if you have permission to be out there it's not illegal. No carts anywhere

Tee time at 10 tomorrow for our normal weekend game group!

It was 36F feels like 30F.
It was snowing, raining and wet.
    It was amazing!!!

Played most holes by myself since there weren’t many out.
When I finally ran into traffic, nice local foursome took me in for last 7 holes.

I don’t think I’ll get lucky enough to get weekend tee times often.
But when the weather is bad and no one wants to be out there, I’ll be there to play!

    New norm.

    This was genius!

Wish I could’ve walked, but don’t have strength after four week quarantine.
Cart path only gave me some much needed exercise though.

Seal Skin water resistant hat and Galvin Green Gore Tex rain jacket and pants kept me warm and dry.
I wish there was a better option for women’s rain gloves though.

All purchased for St. Andrews trip which is up in the air now...

Can’t wait for another bad weather weekend!
