Not sure. They were always the place to go back in the day.

I'm a big oak guy...I've found some absolutely mint used drivers with high end shafts there on the cheap.

Found my Ping Doon putter there for half price too after someone used it a few times and traded it in.
If it's green, smoke it...if it's pink, poke it

    Interesting stats on distance IRL

    https://www.golf.com/news/2020/02/04...olf-ball-2019/
I think the real deal is that they just Jack the lofts. So you are really playing a club that should be 1 or even 2 numbers different. Just some old fashioned ego boosting shit. I was looking at the Distance report and a general trend of strengthening lofts has been the trend. The HMP is even more jacked. 4 iron is 20*Hitting it 222. I went to the shop and tried Forged, HMB blade, HMP, and new Mavric. Couldn't really notice too much loss of softness in the HMP. I think any thing made in the last 5 years is very forgiving so it comes back to looks at address and shot shape in your mind. The KBS C Taper Lites might be part of the reason I am liking them too. Straightening & Piercing ball flight where the ball seems to rise up, reach cruising height, and just explode forward then suddenly just fall out of the air and land soft. My older 2013 JPX have way more offset which I much prefer the lack of in the 919. 3 birds last time in my 2nd go with them. Also 2 - 3 putt bogies. Mindnumbing game.
I'm cool with this, as long as you Kirkwood Bro Brah's stay away from Heavenly when 88 closes- TahoeBc

9i still155 Booner. 8 165. 7 though is almost 180 that was closer to my old 6. I like to choke up and swing easy on my approach shots so the "hot" is just part of the forgiveness factor for my game. Not really any distance difference than my older JPXs that is not expected or explainable by the change in lofts. Lots of confidence though when you know you are taking an iron from anything inside 220 yrds just need the know your numbers and forget what everybody else is hitting nowadays.

Good review info. Thanks. Your 9i is my 7 and that fits my short home course and my goal. I wouldn't be shopping for set except the edges of the grooves are worn down on my custom fitted System 3000 forged Mizuno knockoffs. Affects ball flight with a lower than optimal spin I'd guess. Lowers the odds of backing the ball up and into the hole.

    I hope you made it.

It’s gonna be a beautiful weekend in New York.
As long as the course is open on Sunday, I’m going to play!

The golf course is probably the safest place for me to be now. I'm a bit pissed as on the day I was driving in a cart to the course in AZ, the CDC had was telling the prez that I shouldn't fly home into Ground Zero. Had my own BR at a friends house on the golf course too.

    Fore! Who's playing golf, yo-

I'm getting out tomorrow and I can't fucking wait. Weather looks mint

Haven't left the house since Sun and I've been waiting to get out and play since this mess began

Walking as many holes as I can get in after 4

I have asthma and know how quickly lungs can have serious issues so the virus does have me a little spooked...not getting near a cart

    Good luck, booner.
Stay away from others and don't touch anything.
Bring small hand sanitizer if you could.

I have a tee time on Sunday which doesn't seem to be happening.
Wish I could be out playing.

Was wondering if golf is an ok sport for right now. Seems ideal once you are out on the course. The range and clubhouse are probably a Petri dish.

Our local course is open. Weatherman is saying 60 is coming. I'm in Evacuation Zone A at Ground Zero and check all of the boxes as high risk. Call ahead with my CC# and go off as a single?

I know the owner of my place well so I'm just going to text him and ask him how I can pay/offer venmo and stay away from everyone and everything. I haven't paid for membership yet and definitely won't till I figure out Wtf is really going on in this world

Yeah...that would be easy to call in CC...possible venmo action

Pretty sure I could call from the lot with 1 club and 2 balls and they'd wave my onto the tee if I timed it right. 1 hour before sunset. I should go XC ski instead tomorrow probably. Either way gotta get out alone. I'm driving my wife nutz.

. instends to stay OPEN during this time.
We have taken extra precautions for the safety of All Golfers visiting Brennan Golf Course. Continuous cleaning/sanitizing throughout the building, of golf carts, pull cart handles, keys as well as sanitizer being available in the Golf Shop. We are fortunate that Golf is an outdoor sport and contact is limited.
If you do not feel well, please stay home

    Thank goodness something is open.
