Looks nice. A design by Junior. Using bulldozers. NTTAWWT. NYS has 8 public courses that RTJ Sr did in the 1930's with the CCC and I've been fortunate enough to have played 6 of them at least once and DE over 100 times. All had his signature, raised tees with raised, tiered greens. "Jones’ design thought: That it should be easy to make a bogey but hard to make a par."

Durand Eastman is still $18 for 18 holes. It's owned by the county and privately managed. A benefit(?) for having a $6000 tax on a $200,000 house.

    Sorry no pictures.

Went over to Anaconda MT and played Old Works.

One of 2 Nicklaus courses that is open to the public. It was built on a massive Superfund site as part of the remediation effort and eventually turned over to the county to operate.

$ 55.00 for 18 including a cart. Beautiful course with black slag sand in the traps and there are a lot of them. Well worth the drive and the coin.

No, AVX is not the NXT tour replacement. The AVX spins similarly to a V1/V1x off irons and wedges, the difference is it is basically a knuckleball off of the driver. Low and very little spin. Perfect for me as I spin the driver way too much (3.5 index).

There are more moving parts in these 3 swings than in a grandfather clock!!! More head bobbing than a prize fight. I'm standing to far at address and need to "squat" a bit more. The unhappy camera person added pressure. I went up 2 clubs for the shot and put it pin high. 15' right.

No cart at Princeville? That must take a solid 5+ hours.

I’m a huge fan of the new AVX balls. Half a club longer than pro v1’s for me.

Mid 40’s with strong wind and slow moving traffic on the course.
Took 5 hours to finish 18 hole.
Shot 47 then fell apart to 55.

Nice to have a place to work on your swing 5 min from the house. 3/4 wedges with tight arm pits are a fix for my loosey goosey swing.

Keep working NMC, you are way ahead of the game for the amount of time you've been playing.

Wooley, don't get too hung up on the tight pit swing. Allowing your right arm to straighten on the downswing creates a lot of distance and helps with more consistently hitting down on the ball. Something I've worked hard on this yr (with occasionally success) after many years of following the tight to the body right arm path.

Thanks. All swing tips are good when you're working on a swing. I hit my career longest drive pissed off with tight pits over the heads of a 6some that wouldn't let me pay through. I shot my career low score being angry and tense when I got pissed off by an idiot marshal. My "full" sand wedge goes 80 yds. My "3/4" sand wedge goes 100.

@Nutmegchoi - As I was in the woman's apparel business, I feel qualified as a pro to comment. I like the muted, yet classic color story to your outfit. Great active style choices for freedom of movement with warmth. The Nike logo makes is a subtle political statement. When it dips below 45 deg., I opt for a light down jacket over a fleece pullover. And go up 1/2 club on most shots.

Practice short and practice often. Wife told me to get lost so went and hit 16 3/4ish PW's. First set. 4 on and 2 of the other 4 chipped up close. B+ in my book. I also re-calibrated my stride and found out I'm coming up 3 yds short when I walk off 50.

I am. 2 out of 4 times. If I'm on my game. Just have to hit a few 1000 of them. Accepting your misses is the key to scoring.

I dont even know what my 100yd club is anymore, used to be a full but easy 54*- now its a 3/4 to 1/2 punch with a 54*, which isn't helping me any. Ive never been comfortable with a full swing on a 60* but I should probably start practicing that shot.

First time at Edgewood last week for a charity tournament. Brought in a 58 in a 4 man scramble...tied for third. Great day.
