Keep working at that part of your game. Just got done playing 18 and the Mrs says "Back so soon?"

So so scoring round but fun. I walked while my clubs rode in my partners solo cart.

Boyfriend prays for rain every weekend so I won’t go play without him.
4 weeks in and another 4 plus weeks to go post shoulder surgery is making him a cranky old man.

    Fore! Who's playing golf, yo-

Is there a current PGA thread? How bout fucking Bryson? God Damn, that was fun to watch. Hits a 367 yard bomb, on the final hole, and sticks a wedge about 2 feet from the pin, fucking hell man.
It’s good to have someone to watch, golf needs this guy right now. Bunch of no-names on the leader board that I don’t give a shit about.

Yeah there’s a pga thread around here somewhere. Bryson is pretty impressive post-transformation. He’s a fucking psycho though, did you see that thing he did with the camera man? What a tool. Kinda fun to watch him avg 350 off the tee but I personally don’t think he’ll be able to keep that up for very long.

Bryson should be forced to play with Kevin Na and Bubba Watson every round. He’s slow and annoying. He is a helluava player though and he is pushing boundaries.

Anyone think Bryson mighta taken PEDs to gain so much mass so quickly? Anyone care?

An early 18 at The Downs (Montauk) today. Played from the Blue Tees. Shot 92. A Couple of blow ups but happy with round. Its a solid course from the Blue Tees with the comparable rating/slope as the middle tees at Bethpage Black. (73.4/140)

Just getting back into golf this year after a 8 year hiatus after our second child. The oldest is now 11 and its really fun to play with him and see his face light up after a good shot.

    Ummm...no

Makes sense for 7i and up to be same length

Makes zero sense to have scoring irons (8-wedge) be longer than std

Bryson is an odd duck. I miss seeing the entourage follow him around like last Open at Shineycock. His GF at the time had hella big bolt ons. That was kinda captivating.

There is a bit of swing science behind it if you dig around. Helps tall guys a bit too, i've read.

    Graphite shafts through the bag

LA Golf’s Rebar prototype is a full flex stiffer than True Temper’s Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X7 — DeChambeau’s previous iron shaft — but is roughly 120 grams, which is more than 10 grams lighter than X7.

Heard them talking about this Sunday, but I thought I heard reverse? New clubs were heavier.

Either way dudes a beast, but slow.

Didn't win any money in the Wednesday Four Ball match. My team had a net 34. I made some mistakes with every club, played some shots like a pro with every club and shot another 41. Net 36.5

Had the pleasure of buying new rangefinder today after leaving mine in the cart at league and having it run away. Brutal

Only upside is I found v5 at Dicks for less than best deal on v4 after using 10% code

Well, my back is finally better enough that I can swing a club again. I'm gonna try to get out and loosen up a bit this week then I'll tag Nutmeg for a round, can't do that until I've had a chance to play a little first though

Played an older course in my area today. It started as a 5 hole pasture in 1915 and added on to make 18 by 1931. So much fun. Small, raised greens and mature trees everywhere. They had the club championship this past weekend and didn't move any pins from yesterdays locations. Every 1 of those flags were tucked in some corner of the green. So much fun, and I played well on a course I've never played before, mostly because it's short. Back in the day I guess the feathery didn't fly too far when using a hickory shafted club.

Oh yeah, the club has a policy that players shirts have to be worn within 150 yards from the clubhouse. Otherwise, take it off!

Played my practice round today and got paired with 18 yr old kid who won nys jr twice and the sub jr once. He was absolutely nasty...just raw talent.

About 145# and was well past me off every tee. He was -3 or -4 from the tips on tough course today. We were into it on every long par 4 and didn't bother him a bit. He holed out from 160 on longest par 4...had 140 into a par 5.

I looked him up and he shot a 63 in the nys junior last year. I'd be shocked if he isn't top 5 in this tourney

Birthday wish was a day off and golf.
Played Bethpage Red paired up with two former/current caddies (Shinnecock & Bethpage Black) and a Brooklyn firefighter.
All are great players and super fun guys.
    I shot 46/49, 95.
Lunch, beer and brownie treated by my playmates was a big plus.
    What a day!

Well, Happy Birthday Nutmeg. Did your friends give you a 'birthday ball' off the tees?

Played Ridgefield again with a friend and friends of.

    Few questions:
    1) Really just notational. If you are on a close cropped fairway just in front of the green and use your putter to get on, do you count this as a putt?

    2) For those of you that travel around to many different courses. Do you use a golf course app and go to where ever you can get a good deal, or, do you just go where you want to play?

    3) NY / Westchester. Heard an advertisement on the radio for a deal at Somers. Is this course worth traveling to for $79 for two with cart?
