Sorry for all the course info requests, I'd take it to wrx but those folks are insufferable, anyways...

Palm Springs next weekend, would like to play something reasonably priced one day and willing to shell out some money for a nicer course on round 2. Staying in La Quinta but will have wheels to travel.

    Thoughts/Experiences?

the boy and i decided we want to buy one of valentino dixon's prints and we're going to write a letter to him. he finally got out after 27 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit -- his friend confessed to the media 2 days after his arrest because he didn't want dixon to go to prison for something he didn't do -- and they still put him in prison. he had a 6 month old daughter when he was arrested.

    https://www.golfdigest.com/story/val...ing-went-wrong

when he got out, he went to mexico and met the woman who married him in prison after seeing his art -- she had moved to the u.s. to be near him and when her visa expired the u.s. would not give her a new one. they hadn't seen each other in 12 years.

he also played golf for the first time and scored a 21 on the par 3 third at punta mita that he drew after seeing it in golf digest.

    "i drew that!"

    the video is amazing.

i hope he gets rich and spends the rest of this days loving to play golf.

    I haven’t mounted Franco yet.
Probably won’t be able to pull out until Jay or Jackson.
    Thinking about Burton Escapade.
    Any suggestions?

I got a text that the XC trails were groomed but I stayed in the valley to play on a golf course with a little 24deg metalwood.

Put 3 out of 4 over the green and through the gap in the pines with a little fade.

Not much of a B binder fan personally since the stopped making the CO2's. Check out Now, my daughter has Vettas and loves them but pretty sure they have a new women's model for this year also.

I too was lookin go to Conda and was curious about it.

Come to think of it, I should just talk to Mikey (Feanco).
The maker probably could give me some good suggestions.

    That’s it!
    No more gear talk, Wooley!

    Your attachments don’t work, Jong.

No. But it would be a nice addition to our garden and I have a friend with a truck. I needed practice at picture posting.

I would say 3-4 men with full size truck should do the job?
    Unless the base is attached.

When there’s a snowstorm (heavy rain) outside.
Four Seasons Aviara was a tricky course.

Simulation golf is a weird thing.
It’s somewhere between driving range and the real course.
I was having a hard time to aim shots and putting is super acquired.
I think there’s different way to play simulation golf.
It was fun and different experience but not sure if I’m a fan.
I much rather play in cold outside.

    She is adorable, Wooley!!!
Did she like playing on a course??

Yes he is. If he wasn't so adorable his long hair wouldn't cause so much confusion. It happens to him all the time. He took about 30 whacks to get it 300 yds to the green and didn't want to stop until he holed out. Then we went to look at the ducks on the pond. I got what I went for when he said "That was fun grandpa!, twice.

I did make him work as my cameraman. I would give this swing a 6 on technical execution but 9.5 points for style. Maybe Booner, 54-46 or one of the other TGR
sticks will see somthin that I can work on. The back swing looks a little long for a 7 iron.

Slow down your takeaway and finish your swing. Finish high. you’re breaking down on the follow through.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. Good stuff to work on.

"you’re breaking down on the follow through" - Might be a balance thing? I tend to stand an inch too far away at address. Off balance at contact. Addressing the ball on the hosel ala Fuzzy Zoeller is a fix I've tried. Works for a few holes.

"and finish your swing. Finish high". - That's a result of something prior to ball contact? Swing thought of "pushing" my right shoulder under and through helps for a few holes.

"Slow down your takeaway " !! Same advice I got in the only lesson I ever took. 40 years and 10,000 swings ago.

I hit one of my longest drives ever over the the heads of a sixsome that wouldn't let me through as a single and I was super pissed. .The best ball striking/scoring round I have had was when I was angry and tense because the ranger told my group we were slow and I was 5 over after 5. Maybe there is a clue in there. Swing thought of "Tight armpits, tight grip and clenched teeth" ?
