Sometimes I drop to a 7 if I’m struggling off the tee as that is my go to club, at least in my mind.

A couple 7’s will get me on/close on most par 4’s. Works a lot better than a topped driver and then trying to kill a 4 iron to get it all back with one swing. Or taking penalty stokes cause you launch your tee shot OB.

An old timer once told me to just try to cut the hole in half off the tee if you are struggling with driver.

I hit 7 off the tee (since that’s the lowest numbered iron I have) then driver.
Since it was already dark, I couldn’t tell exact direction and distance but it was making a contact.

Hybrids need to be hit more like irons. We all have a tendency to want to sweep hybrids because they are so easy to get airborne. Put them slightly back in your stance and be sure to take a divot.

I'll play.

25mph head wind. Raised tee box. I aimed left of the power poles. Shallow swing and closed stance for a low draw. Came off pretty good. Started going to my aim point but with more clubhead speed than the shaft could handle and into the wind, the shot "drew/hooked" 5 yds left of the fairway.

Looks like a fantastic course nutmeg!

Last round of the yr here in VT today, 64° is a bonus for the end of October! Solid start to the season then hit a big brick wall mid-season in all facets of my game but ended on a positive note the final few weeks...now, bring on the snow damnit!

We just play it as it lies. Long putts with a fairway wood.

Took a quick 1/2 lap today. 47 and windy but was really comfortable in proper gear. Hands were warm without anything but normal glove.

Struck it really well. Missed one fairway (by a yd) and one green. Greens never grew in from punching so putting was impossible

The last golf of the season is the sweetest. 60 degree day last week. Thought I'd try to hook up for a late 9 but no one on the tee and the HS team was about to go out. Took my 6 iron and a wedge and jumped on in front of the HS foresomes. Played 2 balls at a relaxed pace with some practice chipping around the greens. Got 2 pars. Great day.

I have old mp-63s now. Love them but grooves are huge and dull now. I've been mizuno guy for 20 yrs

The mp 20s have copper underlayer for even softer feel...if you can even imagine that.

Tell tale sign of how nasty mizzy irons are...vast majority of pros choose them when they're not contracted to use someone else
