Bianca Pagdangan is playing this event. Just saw her. Wow! She is another Philippine star. Picture later. Bombs it. Amazing how this sport changes.

Bianca Pagdanganan is a Filipino professional golfer. As an amateur, she was a dual medalist in the 2018 Asian Games, winning a bronze in the women's individual event, and a gold medal in the team event with Yuka Saso

I shoot a 78, but finished with two birdies so I was pleased with it. The fairways are so unbelievably wide that it’s almost hard to focus in on a target. I only missed one fairway and hit 13 greens so it wasn’t my ball striking that killed me. The green complexes are where they get you but I loved it. You were forced to get super creative, not really a straightforward chip or putt on the entire course. I hope I get to play there again someday and if not, I am so happy I got to do it once.

So sick. I remember where each of these is. The top one is the hole with the blind tee shot except the rock in the center of the fairway, right? I loved that hole. The approach with the green in a punchbowl is so fucking cool. It doesn't look like much in the pic but the scale of the terrain changes were just wild and totally unlike anything I've ever played.

Currently doing everything I can to bend over backwards for that client so I get invited back.

You nailed it. That punch bowl green is hole 7 and you are correct on the photo not giving the elevation change justice. That was one of my favorite approach shots I hit all day. I really wish we could have had spun another 9 holes out there, but we all had long drives after and the guys I played with were whooped.

Did you snag a buffalo nickel ball marker from the pro shop?

Damn good swing. If you look right at 6 seconds on vid 1, when you have completed your backswing, the club is pointed right of your target line.

"The club should point to the target at the top of the backswing. When the club points to the right of your body and the right of your target the club has come across the line. The prototypical swing positions the club pointing toward the target and parallel to the target line at the top of the backswing."

I worked driver tee box at LPGA. The one thing I noticed universally is there is very little (no) wrist action at point of impact for driver to keep spin as low as possible. It's all about a full body connected rotation.

Keep that tempo and you'll be fine. I'm heading out now to play 18 with Skitobe and hoping to find mine.

My tee today. 184 into the wind. No way to get a cut shot close. Most players hit a cut too.

Hope this is a trend. I'll play more:

"After careful consideration we have decided to NOT charge a single rider upcharge fee.
We feel that is more important to provide a positive guest experience and not punish those who choose to ride alone. We do expect golfers to share carts in their group when possible."

It finally came together for me last night. My wife and I were going to play 9 and do a nice dinner at the course afterwords. After hole 8, I think she realized what was happening and called in a order of food to go at the turn for us.

It was just one of those rounds, everything was clicking. I’ve had a few close calls with breaking 70 but never sealed the deal and the last time I broke par I was a junior in high school. This year my game has felt pretty good but my putting hasn’t been great and it always seems like one swing has been killing my scores.

I went out in 34 and decided to keep trying to be aggressive. I was three down on 18 and instead of trying to just make par, I played aggressive and hit driver/3H to the middle of the green and two putted for a birdie to finish with a 68! I feel like that’s the first time in my life that I’ve taken that approach rather than trying to ‘protect’ my score. All in all it was a round I won’t soon forget.

Sometimes this damn game can feel so impossible and sometimes it feels so effortless.

Thanks! I went to bed last night in disbelief. My wife is a gem and I owe her big for last night. It was a pretty special round for me and I’m really glad it was her I was playing with. She shot her second lowest round to date so it must have been something in the air yesterday!

16 GIR is also a new high for me and one of the two missed greens I was a foot into the fringe 15’ below the hole so I hit a great approach there.
