At Bandon, take bandaids and tape and cover any hot spots early. Last time I was there I taped every toe. No problem.

It was only 30 mins but JF (assistant pro at Saxon Woods Golf Course which's one of Westchester County Courses) pointed out where my problems are originated.
It was not enough hip turn creating too much back swing, lifting upper body, right heel's coming off too soon... etc.
They have a studio with cameras that I could see each motion with angle drown.
I'm going to put some practice with the drills he showed me.

Our UK trip is yet again cancelled due to their 10 day quarantine rule.
Sunday tournament at St. George's, a round the day after at the course is canceled for sure.
St. Andrews is pushed to the late August for now but that's not guaranteed, either.

Some miracle happened and the boyfriend agreed to come to Bandon Dunes.
We booked last minute 7 day trip.
July 14th to 20th, we have to move around 4 times in the resort and don't even have a room for the last night, but we have 10 tee times booked!
    Bandon, here we come!!

Ah was going to offer up an instructors name last week - Paul Kenney. It's a bit of a trek for some up to Rockrimmon but he's well worth the effort. They have nice short game facilities and almost always would play a few holes w him. He sticks around during the winter and teaches indoors in Cos Cob. The winter is the prime time for making changes since there are no scores to keep.

Those are all minor problems with your swing. If you don’t turn much (I don’t) shorten your swing. Don’t compensate to get a full backswing. Look at Rahm or Finau.
I don't know how I put a trip together to Bandon Dunes two weeks before but it is happening.
I can't wait to get there and experience the golf heaven everybody talks about!!

I really want to shorten my backswing. I really do.
Maybe I need a sports psychologist more than anything!!!

My feet are never the problem.
My hands do get a little tender after 36 holes though.

Lesson rates are so expensive around here.
Saxon head pro charges $180 per hour and won't even have package or 30 minute option.
Saxon Woods works for me because it's literally 5 minutes from my work so I can get there during the weekdays after work.

If you live close enough, we should get together for a round sometimes!

Would love that, perhaps if I make a trip back to NY. I could get us on some respectable tracks in Westchester, not as exclusive as Century however.

Damn what a crazy game! 5 years ago I was playing 40-50 rounds a year and practicing about 2hrs for each round played. Since then, playing at most 10 rounds a year and zero practice.

Played last Friday at one of the Spokane area’s more mundane tracks with my 4yr old son riding shotgun in the cart (one of the few places around that allow young kids on the course). Started with a par and then rattled off four straight birdies. Managed to finish the front -3 and then limped home +2 on the back to finish with 71. Really should have been a 67 or 68, but I’m not complaining! At 40yrs old I’d wondered if all my under par rounds were behind me. I love this game!

Best 9 of my life tonight, 40 out. +1 through 5, fell apart on 6 and 7 with two doubles, par out on 9 to save the round. Feeling good considering I’m around a 23 handicap!

I live on a course, and my house gets hit with a ball a day (on the side; damage HOA responsibility).

I crack up; my place is 90 yards from the middle of the fairway and 180 yards from the tees.

MFers are hitting snap hooks 90 yards wide left from 180. Hilarious…

Should just quit and walk away.
I laugh at guys teeing from the tips to forward tee box.

Nice track, it had limited play pre-covid, so greens and fairways were always in stellar condition.

We are about 200 off the main men's box. I'm at 58 balls so far this year. We gathered 84 the prior 18 months. I assume the increase is the new golfers. On a charity tourney weekend, we can get a few off the roof, guaranteed.
