Family golf day today was more fun than any other family golf day yet. Kids are having fun out there.
I used to struggle playing with the family...it's a bit like paying in the middle of a 3 ring circus...but I've gotten used to playing in the mayhem and can have fun now. Hit 8/9 greens in reg and missed one fairway.
If it's green, smoke it...if it's pink, poke it

Good for you on the rules working for you. At the time I got my ace it wasn't an official ace as it wasn't in an 18 hole round. It does add a touch of irony to the story of "My Ace" when I tell it on the tee box.
A few people feel the rain. Most people just get wet.

Yep now, not then. Couldn't use a range finder and post the score either back when. Lot's of rules changes making the game easier to be good at and enjoy.
Toying with the idea of buying these. My System 3000 irons are knockoffs of the Mizuno T Zoid and I love the feel and workability.

Hawkgt and I shared the misery today.
But we counted them all including an abundance of penalty shots.

Holly hell that was a rough outing but a great time. Welcome to CO skiballs, up for another round when back in town so I could redeem myself,. ohh well, had fun
Pine Creek in Co Springs, fun tract but ball placement is key off the tee. All in with cart is $70 per and basically drive up to first tee, zero crowd.

Played Circling Raven south of Spokane/CDA on Wednesday. Twice. What a fucking rad, interesting course that is half on the Palouse and half in the pines, covering 600+ acres (carts pretty much mandatory). Tons of elevation changes and lots of very unique but non-gimmicky holes. I had some pics but my phone decided to take a dirt nap that night.
HIGHLY recommended if you are in the area and have time for a round or two.
Here's a pic I found of one of the interesting holes with a split fairway. Go long and high on the right for a downhill shot with a clear line at the green or shorter and low on the left for a much more difficult approach over a ton of sand, and with a limited view of the green.
The back nine head into the woods, and the course feels very different, but it all works really well.

I've been working on consistency on stance and swing setup, might have figured a few things out over the weekend. Late Sunday round, better and straighter drives. A round best of 5 pars and 4 bogeys - but the other 9 holes were complete failures, bad 2nd shots and 3 putts - total of 104. What a bummer...

Big Brothers Big Sisters NYC charity outing at Century Country Club.
It was so hot during the day but the evening turned so gorgeous.

Good call on Circling Raven. It's the best, publicly accessible course in the region so far as I'm concerned. I've played it several times and love it. It's got great variety, the separation between holes makes you fell like you have the entire course to yourself, the paths from green to tee are interesting, especially on the back nine, and it's generally in great shape. It's really a gem.
With that stated, try Palouse Ridge in Pullman sometime. It's a great track, too. No forests but the course itself is really fun. Between the two, you can have a great couple of rounds when you're in the area.

I played yesterday, teeing off at 4:10. It was 110 on my car when I pulled into the parking lot. I always walk but not yesterday. Being in a cart actually wasn't too bad. Hit the ball, head for the shade and wait for the next guy to hit. Back nine was much better as it cooled to right around 97 by the time we were done at 8:30. I went through 7 bottles of water for the 18 and only 1 Coors Light (which counts as hydration, too...). Brutal heat but survivable. If only my golf game was.

I'm not a warm weather golfer.
I much rather play in 28F than 98F.
My optimum temperature would be 50-60F.
I had a first lesson in few years yesterday (97F feels like 102F).
It was only 30 mins but JF (assistant pro at Saxon Woods Golf Course which's one of Westchester County Courses) pointed out where my problems are originated.
It was not enough hip turn creating too much back swing, lifting upper body, right heel's coming off too soon... etc.
They have a studio with cameras that I could see each motion with angle drown.
I'm going to put some practice with the drills he showed me.
Our UK trip is yet again cancelled due to their 10 day quarantine rule.
Sunday tournament at St. George's, a round the day after at the course is canceled for sure.
St. Andrews is pushed to the late August for now but that's not guaranteed, either.
Make lemonade out of lemons.
Some miracle happened and the boyfriend agreed to come to Bandon Dunes.
We booked last minute 7 day trip.
July 14th to 20th, we have to move around 4 times in the resort and don't even have a room for the last night, but we have 10 tee times booked!
Bandon, here we come!!

Fore! Who's playing golf, yo-
Sick trip. There are direct flights to North Bend. Go to the wildlife park and pet a tiger.
Those are all minor problems with your swing. If you don’t turn much (I don’t) shorten your swing. Don’t compensate to get a full backswing. Look at Rahm or Finau.
