You could ask him to drive and walk between shots.

I put a car in the ditch like that once. Left it...

    Fore! Who's playing golf, yo-

One day I was cutting greens at Owls Nest in Campton NH. And this guy with the wicked Boston accent comes up to me and says, dead cat. I’m like what? Dead cat, I say, Jesus that ain’t good. Dead cat, where? And he points at his cart. I was so baked, mowing greens high is really fun. I almost fell off my mower! I’m like hold on guy, I’ll call the pro-shop!

Tahoe folks, any advice on Genoa lakes? Spending labor day in Meyers and planning on playing Saturday at Genoa and Sunday at Lake Tahoe Golf Course. I've played LTGC plenty of times but never been to Genoa Lakes and looking for some guidance on which course to book.

    Top: golf courses I’ve played.
(need to collect few missing places)

    Middle: golf tournaments I’ve attended.
(obviously I’m better at spectating than playing)

    Bottom: random collection.

very nice ball display! the boy's first one -- not quite so nice -- is full of web.com pro signed balls and logo balls of the places i've played -- not quite so illustrious. the first is full so we need to order another with the web.com tournament coming. i will get 6-8 new signed balls.

It’s so much easier to get signed ball if you were a kid.

    Can I borrow yours sometime?

the only reason i get them is because the players usually sign a couple balls for the walking scorer and standard bearer. he got a few of his own when he walked the front 9 with me 2 years ago when i was a standard bearer. but yes, outside the ropes definitely easier with a kid. also a lot easier at web.com.

    Fore! Who's playing golf, yo-

Played 18 hole with a really good player.
It was a lot of fun to watch him play.
(which he claims it was a bad day)
Hope to play like him one day.

Hit the pole from 80 yards with a pitching wedge.
Other than that, I played like crap.

    Thing is.
He showed up with 6 pack and never stopped drinking.
He was just out there to have a good time.
He was happy when he played well and still having fun when he didn’t.
Gave me killer pointers which I doubted but listened.
He was right every single time.

I got matched up with a guy a couple of years back playing on vacation in LBI. Every time the guy stopped the cart he failed to click in the brake. Half was through the round he tells me he was playing in AC the week before and the cart rolled back into a lake. I put on my shocked face.

I get AFU now because my home course and a lot of others I play have the auto brake now

When I go to courses with older carts I always forget to set the brake for first couple holes

Drinking while playing is fun for a couple holes but then you’re just drunk and it sucks. A beer or two down the stretch is ok after like 15 or 16.

Exactly. Playing drunk is not fun for me.

There's guys in my league that drink heavily every time they go out. They're fucking terrible...shocker

Some reason my Sunday partner seemed not effected by beers he consumed.
Maybe he wasn’t really serious about the game since I wasn’t any competition?
