If on time lapse of 2 sec or less the camera will crash if exposed to low light.

I spoke to Gopro tech support. They said they are aware of the problem but do not have a solution.

Their rebuttle was that they do not market it really as a time lapse camera so its not really a problem.

Try it. Set it on time lapse at 1 sec, put it in the dark for a second then look at the counter. It stops moving.
