    Long Board Day - Alpental - 2012

    It's on bitches.

    Long Board Day - Alpental
    Sunday April 29th, 2012

Short skis suck, long skis truck.
A simple mantra and in celebration we are hosting the fifth or sixth annual Long Board Day.
The shit will get hot and stinky Sunday April 29th in Lot Four, Alpental, WA.

We want you to join us. Seriously, we (the past participants) want you (Long Board Day virgins) to go skiing with us.
Look for the VW Camper van, cubes of canned beer, and the posse of dudes wearing Regan-era ski gear.
Okay, that describes 50% of Alpental’s clientele; we’ll be the guys with DH boards who aren’t listening to Korn.

The rules for Long Board Day are very simple: spend the day on skis that are at least 210 centimeters long.
This is not a costume party, vintage ski wear only counts for extra credit.

    See you on the slopes…

    FAQ:
    What if I’m a woman?
Roll old school 195cm or longer

What if I’m scared of man sized skis?
    Just try.

    What if I’m a snowboarder?
Impress us. Nose buttering Nash on a 147 would be cool and everyone respects the Mystery Air (it is mysterious).

    What if I don’t own 210s?
Craig’s List, Value Village, or the Salvation Army store are excellent resources.

Nah, it's not that bad. The official board ruling comes down that girls can show up on 195+. So if you show up with 203's and are wearing women's ski attire you'll escape scorn but may be subjected to a certain amount of ridicule.
Move upside and let the man go through...

    Phil's mum's purple Vulva?

    Nice ride.

Edit: why has he put his poles grips down in the mud? (alpental parking lot = miasma of dog feces, dripped anti-freeze, PBR dregs, cig butts and red-neck vomit) Did he just have them race-tuned or something?

kevin, once enough alcohol is consumed they can't see the numbers and have forgotten the rules. add some tails to those sticks and turn em into twin tips, i got a pair but have not gone switch with em yet on purpose.
prepare to meet a bunch of old dudes that put the hurt on alpental.

    Uhmm, no.

However, bolting a pair of tips on the back to make LBD legal is fair play if you can't locate a pair of the real deal.

I may be all over this if they are still there. And I don't tape, I bolt. And it won't be 2 cm, it will be 2 feet.

I could make the 22nd also. No can do on the 29th.

Regardless, I'll be there for Cinco de Mayo!
