Every Diet Soda drinker claims that they can't tell the difference between the diet and regular (fill in the blank here of any soda) and I should try it. I sure can- whether it is the after taste or the fact that the stuff tastes way too sweet or something. Diet is never drinkable in my opinion- I'll go for a drink of water.

You do know why Barq's is the "one with bite" right? It's the only mass produced root beer (or at least used to be the only one) that has caffeine.

I prefer Diet soda to regular regardless of calories. In order:

1. Coke Zero. Tastes just like Coke!
2. Hansens Black Cherry. No caffeine.
3. A&W diet Root Beer. No Caffeine.

I make my own using Hombrew extracts, Gome extract is the best but I can only get it via mail order so I usually just get the HB stuff at the LHBS.

Oh yeah, I use turbonado sugar for my sweetner.

Until I moved out of the city last year, I had a Diet Coke Big Gulp just about every day for the past 30 years. What health issues should I be on the look out for, as I am so far dreadfully healthy. Pure luck, I suppose.
