Hi guys, just a quick question. Just got the Nocta, but have TLT5 shoes, are they too soft for the skis, i'm 75kg=150lb not an aggressive skier, i'm gonna use them for reaching some tops .... 1000-1500 meters uphill walking, enjoying the sightseeings and the fun downhill, maybe some game among the trees and sometimes with the girl on the slope. So any suggestions, should i change the gear or to go with it?

Probably about time for the review.

Now that you have blown the edges and deaden the spring, meathelment, what is your review of the Noctas?

Damn, apparently I never managed to post the review???

    My bad..

I´ll write a lengthier review later.

    In short: frigging awsome skis.
    Not only because :
    - pow performance is very good, good front rocker and just enough tail so it does not do wheelies easily
    - they work very well in cut up pow (floaty, does not kick back)
    - edgehold is very good on harder snow that you encounter always
    - very calm and predictable in breakable crust, tail dont hook
    - in hard windbuff the tail releases easily and wont hook
    - in spring snow über fun ski, as the short(ish) turn radius makes it poppy and playful.
    - very, very pivoty even in 188cm, even for smaller peeps (180/76kg/athletic) so tight places are still manageable. I prolly would get by with the shorter version if I would jib..
    - surprisingly stable in higher speeds, not a im103 but not a nervous crack addict either
    - very durable. have hit a lot of stuff with the skis as I use them as my early season sticks as they float so well..small scratches but thats about it.
    - havent noticed if they have lost any pop as I have only skied some 60-70 days with them.

In short the verdict is : A-

    Why not A?

They could be just a bit more "poppier". They are smooth and very lively, energetic but a slight camber under foot might do the trick...for me.
And the 18m turn radius might be a bit misleading if one expects a jetty slalom ski is hiding under the topsheet.

All in all, my favourite ski ever.
Wish the Black Crows would make exactly the same ski in 100-105mm range. Would buy that in a heartbeat.
If you are in cham, rent the ski for a day!

The floggings will continue until morale improves.
