sorry boys... can't fly out to Maui before this storm. hopefully I can break the curse if i stay in town.

depending on the weather, i could be playing BC on Saturday and either at Alpine or Northstar (my 3 y/o has a skiing BDay party there) on Sunday.

Chili, come on! Meet us @ Alpine! we can find fresh all day, If ya don't mind hiking/skating in the afternoon: estelle/white wolf, high t and out towards Twin Peaks...you know the drill. I have found Alpine best on Sat, as most locals have mid week passes and don't hit it on Sat, and the tourons/bay area peeps don't know where to go/too lazy to hike.

    ohhh, look at this update:

A STORM IN THE EASTERN PACIFIC IS FORECAST TO BRING HEAVY SNOW TO THE
SIERRA NEVADA AS IT NEARS THE CALIFORNIA COAST THURSDAY NIGHT AND
    MOVES INLAND ON FRIDAY.

THIS NEXT STORM WILL BE COLDER THAN THE CURRENT SYSTEM AND IS LIKELY
TO LOWER SNOW LEVELS TO 3500 TO 4500 FEET. THIS STORM HAS THE
POTENTIAL TO DROP A FOOT OR MORE OF SNOW OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS
    OF THE SIERRA NEVADA.

PERSONS TRAVELING TO THE MOUNTAINS THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY SHOULD
MONITOR WEATHER FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS CONCERNING THIS STORM

Sorry boys, I'll be farming spatula turns on the mothership at Squaw. Unless someone has an Alpine hook-up, of course.....I'd be stoked to meet you guys one of these days. After tomorrow night in Vegas, I'm gonna return jacked up to hit some high-speed Light Towers arcs...

Lane, totally want to hook up and ski sometime...i have a pass @Alpine, so that's where I go. If you have a hook up @ Squaw, would head over that way...

well it is a waaaaaaay shorter drive from my house to AM vs. Homewood. being that it is only Wed., let's see how this storm shapes up. all this powder talk is getting me all worked up.... i might need to go take a cold shower....

Looks like I'm heading down to T-Ho with Funken. At least for three days.
Only thing stopping me now is if a co-worker ends up getting sick and I get my 'holiday' day for monday yanked by the boss.

so see ya this weekend, somewhere in tahoe.. bitches

Its puking in SLT right now!! Ok puking is a bit of an overstatement but its no longer raining. My fingers are crossed for the weekend though I hesitate to make an "Anton Guarantee" at this juncture especially since I ain't be skiing regardless of totals. Hope it piles up for you suckers.

Posted this on another forum, but thought it might be of interest here too:

    From Powderhouse this morning:

The pass (7200') only received a few inches - dust on crust type of conditions. However, the top was draped in an 8" light and dry fluffy blanket over a still soft (not yet overused) mattress of a base. Considerable sluffing on the steeper lines in the bowl, but nothing deeper than a few inches. Friday should bring some more cream.....it's back on!

Gimpy - right where he wants to be at 7:00 AM:

    Gimpy and Buddy:

...and for the trick of the day: A Mad Steezy Front-Side Spicy California roll:
    Settin' it up:

    And he throws it, proper:

The "why" became obvious after the spindrift cleared:

Back to the mellow vibe, Gimp and Buddy in the lower bowl:
