Trying to keep up here. So the dude in the photo was recognized by someone and referred to this thread... and he threatened to sue over some of the people making fun of him??

Seems like he couldn’t handle the fame. He became a legend. Worshipped by the faithful Pow and Gnar seekers who also hoped to someday be worthy of steep Alaska lines.

Perhaps it is like religions who are barred from created images of their deity? Perhaps spreading the gospel of the GSA was something that he and the world wasn’t ready for?

On the sticker re-issue, I’ll look into it after the holidays. I’d love to see if we can track down the original file. Otherwise, we can use mine as a starting point.

Did we ever determine if the GSA was self aware, and how that factored into his ascendancy? Or was it simply a rumor destined to confuse and befuddle his pious followers?

As I prophesized, after reaching the pinnacle that is heliskiing in Alaska after his lifetime of training, he became self-aware.

Good times. This thread was wild and hilarious. Somewhere in here someone posted like a 15-20 min video of them following the GSA up some hike in Whistler (Blackcomb Glacier iirc) and slowly following down part of the run. Creeper (and devotion) to the max!

Today, riding the Skyliner chair at Mt Bachelor a guy sez “What’s that sticker that sez ‘Believe’”

So I went thru the Story. All the gear. The pointed toe. Tram at ‘Bird. NYC gym stair-master, Training for AK .
The game of Where’s Waldo. The ‘Boat. Tahoe. Whistler. Other places I forgot.
And finally, the holy grail - Thompson Pass. Where he became self aware and ascended to parts unknown. I mean what else is there after heli skiing in AK?

It was upon the hallowed tracks of rabbit (near Pika's Traverse) on Whistler. Need to see if that video is still up.

I remember skiing that week and might have caught a glimpse of him from the lift, need to re-read the thread, comedy gold.
