That, or he just has a lot of money to throw at cool looking climbing equipment and doesn't know shit about climbing. Where's his rope in the group photo that he intends to use those chocks for or for that matter WTF is he doing on a treadmill with those? Tying off to the nearest support beam or something or just to make a lot of noise while on the treadmill.

There are always exceptions, but IMO someone who is featured in nearly every one of his/her instagram photos is likely a poser / internet superstar / social media athlete (and there's rarely any video footage). Look up almost anyone that you consider to be a true badass and you'll notice their feed looks quite different.

Legit athletes spend more of their spare time out DOING the activities than shopping for the latest gear available. But hey, I'm not going to diss someone who has that much free time and seemingly vast financial resources to geek out on hobby gear that probably only gets used a handful of times, if even that before said gear geek gets bored and moves on to the next gear quest for a different hobby. Those posers pay the full retail on this stuff providing profits and revenues used to sponsor the real athletes and fund events we all enjoy.
