My fitness has been lacking. I blamed it on age and being a parent. Now I know what I need to do to get ready. AK ready.

All the photos of him "climbing" with a harness and gear on with no rope...Or this one is even better in shorts and a ice axe in a gear loop

Reminds me of a French couple I saw on the top of the Aiguille du Midi--they went out through the ice tunnel, fully geared by in Gtx suits, harnesses, helmets, packs, ice axes, crampons, roped up in coils--friend took their pictures with a point and shoot--then they packed it up and went back inside. (I know I've posted this before.)

Always good to find a snow patch for your standard-mix isobutane canister to optimize stove performance.

I’m a bit naive here since I don’t use instagram but looks like this guys just takes photos with gear to sell. The jetboil shot was tagged up with REI and JetBoil pop ups.

So he’s a literal gear whore but I guess that’s the new advertising model. Instead of commercials it’s product placement from some “look at me” chode.

Huh, starting to make sense now.

Funny, you say you’re naive then you correctly state the whole Instagram business model.

    Don’t forget the hashtag.

He's also on the "SoCal Hikers" Facebook group, and apparently is spancered with free gear by most of those brands thanks to his glitzy 'gram skilz. It's kinda shocking watching him often use gear incorrectly, yet get hundreds of likes from urbanites who don't know any better.

What's he planning to do with an ice ax and rock shoes? Although Honnold and Cladwell did do the Fitzroy traverse in approach shoes but I don't think this guy's in that league.
