Blackomb nearcountry Valentines day ski tour

I can pretty much count the bluebird pow days on one hand so far this season, so even though there was only a few cm's of fresh snow, it was nice to get out ski touring off Blackcomb on such a beautiful day!

Mark-R and RugbyDave getting ready to ski over to Decker from the Blackcomb col.

jongsinwhistler made a rare appearance with his new ozzy sheila biatch. They had no clue where to go.

wicked rad landscape shot down in Decker lake.

Dave lighting it up in Decker blowhole

Dave rockets out the bottom of the blowhole

    afternoon delight

Powder11 finds some fresh powder in one of the finger chutes off the north face of Decker

Mark-R ripping up the apron on the north face of Decker

RugbyDave finds some decent snow in the sun

RugbyDave and Mark-R enjoying the Blackcomb sidecountry scenery

RugbyDave taking a gander at the lines we just skied off Decker

Mark-R wishing he was back in Montreal

RugbyDave airs it out in shooting gallery on the way home

Looks like I'm going to miss out on this clear weather... That better mean some new snow is coming!

    Nice shots Toby

Really hoping I can swing that trip from JH up to Whistletown for that 2nd week of April. Would love to get out toward Decker and all the fun stuff outside Blackcomb again!

Make it happen dude-it's going on 3 yrs and you're getting perilously close to getting your honorary PNW status revoked.

looks like a beauty day P11.
