Need to sell- New K2 Nancy Women's Twin Tip Skis 179cm

New in packaging, never used. K2 Nancy Women's Twin Tip Skis 179cm. MSRP $600

I need to move these, so I will consider offers plus $35 shipping within Canada, $60 to US. I've sold a Burton AK jacket and Line skis to fellow teton members if anyone's wondering.

    Description:

This girl's specific fat-twin tip is the first of its kind for K2. Built to attack any condition the mountain has to offer and fully designed for the female rider. The girlfriend of the Seth, this women's fat ski uses BioFlex core technology that combines two types of wood for added stability under foot and lighter weight in the tip and tail. This provides quick turn initiation and reduced swing weight.

I know K2 measures short, so how long do you think these things really are?

i measured them out & they seem pretty accurate. I also have a pair of 178cm Lines and put them side by side & it looks about right. So i wouldn't say they're off much of 179cm.

Mrs. C. has a pair of these skis in 179cm. They are about the same length as her 182 Salomon Czars, so they run a little long. Since Line is owned by K2, perhaps they share the same not-very-accurate measuring skills.

The Nancy is the same ski as the original Seth Pistol, but different topsheet. It may be a little softer than the Seth -- the ski is a noodle. It's from around 2007.

tsttm -- you didn't happen to buy these from here, did you?

That's funny to hear, the other guy says K2 runs short & yours runs long (by 3cm!)..seems strange, you'd expect a certain amount of precision when manufacturing. So, did you tape measure the Salomons? I have to say, I took a tape measure, and felt it was quite close to the 179cm (certainly not off by 3cm!). Although, I'm not sure if you're suppose to follow the curve on the tips when measuring or not (even then, that's maybe 0.5cm..max 1cm difference).

Anyway, that's the best I can tell you guys.

No, i didn't buy them from there. That's a crazy price. Hopefully there may be somebody interested in these..I need to move them, so I will consider offers, but there's definitely a cut off to make it worth my while to trek to the post office with these.

Just to clarify, what I meant by "measure short" is that a 167 is often closer to a 17x. They measure their skis shorter than they really are. I should have said it differently.

    Regardless, best of luck selling.

I read somewhere that K2 is measuring true-to-length now. (They did used to report a shorter length than the ski actually was).

Interesting that these are the original Seth Pistol. Halfway makes me want to buy them for myself to see if they're actually the same.

yeah, i would have to say it's pretty close to the listed length. like i said, I took a tape measure and it's pretty spot on.. i think.

I'm trying to understand why they would have reported a shorter length in the past..does that improve their sales somehow? i suppose in the internet era they had to change since people are buying skis before they can see them??

if there's interest, there's a 'chance' that I will be in the US tomorrow March 1 in which case I could ship from within US. I can do $230 shipped within the US ($225 shipped in Canada all other time). Only thing is we would have to sort everything out by noon latest March 1.

I believe the Nancy's 'biocore' was lighter than what was used in the pistols so I would expect them to be softer.
