POST NEW THREADS IN THE RIGHT PLACE
Due to a plethora of JONGs who won't familiarize themselves with this board before starting a thread, it needs to be said that you need to look around for the appropriate forum to post whatever it is you're posting. This ski/snowboard page is for pic and vid stoke and ski snowboard related cool shit that is generally kinda non-specific but relevant at some level. This time of year there is plenty of stoke. We don't have much tolerance on this page for stuff that should be in other areas of the forum, like what skis you should buy, what shit is for sale, your broken leg or your mother's crack and bestiality habit. However...
There's a correct forum for everything.
Don't post until you've figured out where your whatever should be posted.
The same advice exists in all the sticky threads on this page. Read them.
This thread specifically addresses this one issue.
Resistance is futile.

Where would I post this?
Hey all. new to the tgr forums. lame. I know.
Anhowser, I want to know where I could post to find more local big mountain and *gasp* maybe a ski mountaineering comp or two around Lake Tahoe this winter. The last few winters have made everyone behave like a member of an abusive relationship with Tahoe snow and no one is really publicly planning local comps. This is my first season competing and I really want to try out some local comps before I venture out into the IFSA world.
Cheers!

POST NEW THREADS IN THE RIGHT PLACE
There use to be a "summit" sub-forum for you mountaineering nerds but people kept trying to use it to meet up and party.
I can't wait to read about your harrowing tale of comp survival in Gimp central.Last edited by My Pet Powder Goat; 11-09-2015 at 05:03 PM.

where to post??
I'm wondering where I should post general questions about ski culture? I am a psychology grad student looking to pick apart the relationship between generations in the ski world.
