Jeb Corliss Crash
That famous wingsuit guy, Jeb Corliss, he crashed at Table Mountain in South Africa on Jan 16th.
Apparently he broke both his legs and may be charged for jumping without a permit.

Article:
A daredevil base jumper known as the "bird man" was in intensive care after a dramatic, bungled leap off a 3,500-foot mountain.
Jeb Corliss, 35, famous for performing death-defying stunts from a string of landmarks worldwide, crash-landed on Table Mountain in South Africa yesterday while filming for HBO.
He smashed into the side of the beauty spot before plunging towards the ground and breaking both his legs.
Jeb reportedly leaped safely from Table Mountain last week and was repeating the stunt with a film crew when he was apparently blown off course by a gust of wind.
In 2006, he was arrested trying to jump off the Empire State Building.

Only a matter of time for Jeb I suppose. So what, he clips the rock with his legs, tumbles end over end through the air, then recovers? I can't really tell what happened there, but he's a lucky man.

In every interview I've seen with him, he comes across as the most horribly obnoxious fucker but I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Hope he heals up fast, gets back to doing what he does so well and maybe learns a little humility.

Is humility a requisite when you are trying to be a flying human? I am not sure. So far, being an asshole has served him well. Maybe 2012 is a year for humility from all of us.

Wow, barely had time to pull his chute after reorientling himself and the main lines still ended up tangled. I wonder if the initial hit or the hard landing caused his injuries. Probably both.

Wow. Did his chute even have much time to really slow him down? Lucky, lucky man.

RealSports on HBO aired last night and was there with him before the jump/flight in SA.
Really interesting seeing hime get too comfortable and push the limit a little too much...

Unfortunately his friend tagged a bridge while wingsuiting and died. I'm surprised he is willing to push so close to the edge. Good to see he's ok though.

the lyrics in that last video are weird...
I will be here when you are gone,
...
Cause I was made to fly,
I was made to fly,
And you were made to die,
But I was made to fly.
I will survive cause I want more,
And I will create a bigger war,
Then I will rule over and give you hell,
And then you will do as I command,
Cause I will be here when you are gone,
Yeah I'll still be here when you are gone,
I'll fill you with fear of a holy sun,
I want all that I am,
