Wide field of vision
What goggles have the widest fov? I've been looking for new goggles but can't find anything that doesn't make me feel closed in. I tried on some Scott OTG that actually were pretty good but crappy lenses and not interchangeable.

Field of vision in most goggles has more to do with the placement of your eyes, rather than the goggles design. Some designs will work better than others for your particular head, face, eye spacing.
Go to a big store and get cracking.
Extremes are,
Electric EG2s really big, too much prism effect inside the lens for my taste.
Dragon's new rimless thing. Looks big, feels big.
try on some old school non- spherical for reference. Also, some people like those better.Terje was right.

Smith Monashee's are huge and still offer RC36, yellow and clear lens options.
My kid uses the Knowledge OTG Turbo Fan, but they are not as wide as a Monashee.

Jed, Have you tried the Smith IO ? I Love them. The only frame I will ski with anymore. They are great for bigger heads...wide and more rectangular shaped...my oakley a frames was always too small at the temples/corner of my eyes. The sensor mirror lens is excellent for our flat light at Alyeska. pm me if you want to try them on, or borrow them for a few runs. I'm coaching Devos Saturday, so I could hook you up at the RTC.

I didn't think the eg2 was that big when I tried it on. Yellow lenses are what I use 90% of the time maybe 95% we've got flat light up here. Real flat.
The I/O cuts off my peripheral vision unfortunately from what I found in the store. But Ellen kicks ass - if she had a beard it would be much more haggard. -Jer

^ good one, yes, but the weight is prohibitive (as discussed in the Summits thread, there are a couple of ways to save a few ounces though).

My best goggles for peripheral vision were a pair of Briko racing goggles, best fit and vision of anything I've tried
(outside of the immense Bolle Chrono back in the day)
-you might want to look at POC as well
IMO race bred goggles offer the best field of vision

God it's good to see Un gettin' in on the important things in life...now if only he'd let the media of the Great Society go in & find some pow....and not report to be riacin(sp?). What a time to make friends with Putin and Un...and provide another way for Americans to get some pow....

Imo eg2s have by far the biggest field of vision. I have tried I/0s and all the other smith gogs and crowbars, i miss my eg2s.
Perhaps you'd be more comfortable on epicski or Paula's Ski Lovers, AltaNancy.

Write Scott USA and demand they bring back the G6/Big Ass Goggles. Best FOV of anything out there, period, the Amplifier lens tint is excellent, and they look reasonably normal.
Of course, Scott discontinued them for no goddamn reason, while they continue to make 600 identical-looking models of goggle for people with tiny elf heads who enjoy looking through a foam tunnel. You can't even get replacement lenses anymore.
Electric EG2s have almost as good an FOV, but I don't like any of their lens tints and they cost like $140. The POC looks nice, but again: $150 and I don't like the tints.
BRING BACK THE G6/BIG ASS!

Check out the POC Cornea. They have a huge fov. I ski with Scott Fix's for my flat light goggle and almost feel blind due to the reduced fov. The Cornea's are almost scary you can see so much.

I have a big head and the electric EG 2 is the best goggle I tried on. The only one I haven't tried on that is listed above was the new dragon. I have seen them around my hill and I think the EG 2 is still bigger but I have tried them. The EG2 was buy far the biggest. I tried all the goggles on and the electric was the only one I had to really shift my eyes to see any significant amount of frame. I find their is really no distortion, and the lense are great.

Have 2 pairs of Big Asses I bought for $15 each when they were being blown out after being discontinued. I agree - best FOV of any goggle I've ever tried, but not helmet compatible.
Best FOV of any goggle I've tried other than the Big Asses. However, my current goggles, the VZ Feenom, have about the same horizontal axis FOV as the Fishbowl and only slightly less vertical axis FOV so you might want to give that a try.
I've tried the EG2's also and while they do have a huge lens, the FOV is hampered by the super thick foam - these stick out from your face more than the VZs."What could possibly go wrong?"

Gaper gap, really? There's like frozen hairs sticking out and stuff.
j/k
Seriously though those look pretty nice. I've had my eye on the new Dragon APX which I tried on in the store and couldn't detect any noticeable peripheral vision blockage . They look similar to those POCs, but even cleaner, with no rivets in the goggle at all.
