Ugh and yay! All in one post.

Hope she recovers completely and quickly!

Ongoing Kid Stoke [2011 and on...]

Stoke: Stuff starting to click for my oldest - just dropped 50 FIS SL pts in one race series.

Anti-stoke: Youngest split a panel today, went down hard and broke her clavicle into three pieces. I guess we won’t be going to nationals after all. Had been a pretty good season up til now.🤞🤞she bounces back next year.

Little man had his last big mtn comp this last week. He finished 9th out of 48. Finished the year with 1 win, 1 10th, 1 9th and 1 DNF. Pretty good season! He’s at 46 days and 750k vert for the year with probably 12-15 days left.

Nice fkn spread Eagle! I’m not quick enough to catch my boy on film anymore from a 100% candid perspective. Having to unzip pockets to get to the camera/phone and all but there were a few times today when I looked up and the light was back light and the snow was tinkling down from being disturbed by the both of us and I wished I could capture the image! Maybe tomorrow!

I remember watching mogul skiing on tv when I was in college. There was a French guy I believe named Grospiron (I just googled it…Edgar Grospiron). Spread Eagle is such a great classic jump.

Such a great photo that I had to look up the results. You did buy that photo, yes?
Only won the GS by four seconds? The slalom by the same 'cept for that Idaho spud/Pringle?
Edge angles like she's flashing here take one places. Seen it before...

Yeah, bought that one for sure!

She actually booted out in Kombi. Cost her the overall and skier of the year in one fall. Cedric rips and deserves it though. Hard for her to keep the big picture in mind at 12…but 15-20 minutes of “alone” time and she was back cheering for her teammates. Best part was all the girls from hers and other teams checking and giving her hugs etc…she’s a special person not just skier.

I know it’s not skiing, but I’m still stoked for my kid. He had a baseball tournament the last three days and his team won the championship and he won team mvp. The kid busts his ass and it’s fun to see it payoff for him.

Thank you. He crushed adaptive climbing too. I may get back into it after fifteen year’s pause and not being very good at it.
