ome killer skiing yesterday but the best part was when the 12 year old said it may have been his best day skiing ever. said he stomped a 15’ cliff in rasta chutes, crashed on a big 3 and flipping off the wave. he’s got a nice group of friend’s who throw down.

Signed my little dude up for his first big Mtn comps. He’s doing Steamboat, Vail, and CB. He’s stoked!

Kiddo number 1 came back from ski school this morning and announced that she fell trying to land a 180 off the bigger jump.
She's 6 and it's great to see her progress. Her little sister can link parallel turns now and is also committing to full send mode.
I'll grab some.pics.next time we're out.

Kid had her first age class race this weekend, and though she finished near the back of the pack (and wasn't happy about it), I was proud of her, she's improved so much.
Unfortunately, on Sunday as part of the Skills Quest race program, she got into a collision and broke her upper arm. And is now out of commission for at least 4 weeks. Fucking sucks for her.
I am trying to implement some non-impact low movement exercises so she doesn't fall behind her teammates from a strength perspective. No jumping, running, etc. But I am thinking squats, lunges, step-back lunges, one-leg squats would all be good. Anyone have any other good ones?"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ

So sorry to hear about the broken arm. We were there with our son a couple of months ago, broken right radius. We tried to get him to do the exercises to keep his leg strength up, but he wouldn't do it despite being a really competitive racer and freeride competitor. The only training he was interested in was playing soccer, which still helped, if not as much as specific skiing exercises. The only area where he had a noticeable decline was in his cardio fitness for mountain biking. That just meant that I could drop him on the climb after he dropped me on the decent. If yours will do the exercises that is great. If not, maybe there is some other acceptable activity she will get behind.

Best ski lessons in Park City - PCMR or DV
Our family trip this year is going to be to Park City (Dad's trip is to Red and WH2O in Feb). On these trips my sole goal is to make sure the fam has the best experience possible so everyone wants to go more often. I'm curious if any mags have an opinion on ski school at Deer Valley vs PCMR. It's going to be pretty late (4/2-4/7) so hoping PCMR crowds will be less of an issue.
We'll be staying close to downtown Park City so logistically PCMR is easier.
My dude will be almost 5 and has been in full day Pre-K all year and is pretty mature for his age + has been to ski school 2 days for the last 2 years (Telluride has a 1 hr lessons for 2.5yr olds that he got to go to and did 2 2 hr lessons for 3 yr olds last year at Breck) so I'm hoping to slip him into the 5 yr old lessons
Attached are a few pics of him skiing at ages 1.5, 2.5, and 3.5. He's super into it and is my main partner for watching ski flicks. He's really into watching Kai Jones right now!

Dano that sucks! I’d recommend an exercise bike/trainer in front of a great movie or tv series.
When the eldest went down last year we used PT and pools as often as we could as well as one leg bike trainer.
