Fuck that is a lot of uphill. We’ve been riding a 8.5 mile loop with 600’ vert. Very XC style riding, but damn that sounds like up, up, up.

Gonna make my kid work harder now. OTOH he is on a steel frame bike that weighs quite a bit more than mine.

Kiddo hiked all the way to Ice Lake, 8 miles RT, 2600' elevation gain. And she was stoked!

Dhiler 2.0 cut his finger so I put his skis on to distract him. I can’t get them off and he is proceeding to “jump” off everything. Thank god for storage wax

Grommete number 2 went down hard at the bike park yesterday. Bike patrol witnessed the over the bars move and kept asking if she was sure she was ok because she wasn’t crying. 9 and tough as nails. Click image for larger version.

Squeezed in the crest to our house by Parley’s summit yesterday. Great day for a ride. First time it hasn’t been coaxing in the littlest...big day in the saddle.

    2021 bump

5 year old Mini HGC hit a lull recently and just wasn’t progressing, so we tried some runs today without a harness. Night and day difference! She showed immediate improvement in stopping , heel slides (so she can scrape out all the narrow chutes, duh) and heel turns. The cherry on top was seeing the beginnings of toe turns. Too much fun!

My 9 year old is sending it bigger and doing bigger tricks. Has had some huge crashes getting a 180 dialed in but he keeps getting back up. So much fun!

I’ve got my 2-year-old who will be three in April riding chairlifts and doing great with the harness. Both days she has been out she fell asleep on the chairlift without warning. At WP last weekend I carried her to a sunny spot for a nap. She woke up, had a snack and did some more runs. Yesterday we were on the chair at Eldora and I asked if she was having fun. She said yes and was sleeping 45 seconds later! I took her to the car.

My 5-year-old is vastly stronger and much more coordinated than she was March 1st of last year. It’s really remarkable. She is pretty much ready for easy blues. She is bored with the Little Hawk side of Eldora.

My 9 year old is having a break through year, after plateauing a bit the last couple. She grew 3 inches over the last year, and now her legs are finally strong enough to get into some of the more fun terrain. It's been a lot of fun watching her, this year. She's been out 8 times, and each time she gets noticeably better. She likes to go fast, hit jumps, and bitch about the snowboarders that get in her way.
