Ongoing Kid Stoke [2011 and on...]

First race of a dry season this weekend.

Your kid is inspiring Owen to try something new next year. Would require travel that we can’t do if he ski races but I think it might be time to change.

travel. with your kids. to ski, compete, race, whatever. do it. as much as possible. you will never, ever, regret it even though there will be moments when it kinda sucks. all of a sudden they'll be out doing it on their own.

Yeah the jr extreme comps look interesting. He will be 12 in June.

We got a new race coach, Aaron Estrada. Three time US Extreme champ.

You'd have a blast. Great community of kids and parents, super fun events though as all comps can be a shot show at times. Great soul-building for your kid. Holler if you want any insight or beta. TONS of solid big mountain programs and coaches in your 'hood, one of which has hosted two of my three lads.

Take him over to Squaw today and Sunday. TJFS is running two one-day, one-run regional junior comps. North Bowl today, not sure about Sunday but probably the same. A bunch of good skiers including thing #3 will be in attendance. You'll get a good idea of what's up if you go hang out by the finish for a while.

I don’t mind the flatty, even though I’m sorta old myself. I wouldn’t wear it but I don’t give a shit.

    2nd place today.

When the new, what seems like a mile long run out to the bottom of the new supreme lift tires you out.

The littlest is really coming into her own at 7. Hiking in Jupiter bowl today after making the rope drop. I’m not sure where she got it but she gots it!

App won’t let me post pics but was in the white room all day. Her only complaint was a cold nose from face shots and the long lift line at Jupiter.

Have not been getting any pics of my own kid this season. He has been too busy going fast and not waiting. Here is my nephew after it finally snowed in tahoe.

MikeyB, those skis are still getting used! Although they are way too short for him now. He did stuff a tip or two in the Pow on Monday. His ski tech is slackin! I gotta get the drill out...

Having one of our twins get on the podium for the first time in a Mighty Mite race after 2 years was also awesome!

That kid should smack you in the face for holding the camera vertically.

Shit might be worth some money someday, just sayin'.
